Me, too, Bex - after all my soul will be in the spirit world and my earthly carcass will be of no use to anybody. By cremation I shall be saving the planet by not taking up even more of the land than is necessary.

So do I.. I have been an organ donor since I first got a license and I hope something is salvagable and whatever is left I want cremated and scattered at the beach. Every one in my family knows this and I am sure that my wishes will be carried out. It's not a morbid ? .. it is thought provoking lol

I'm leaning in that direction also. Some people have a problem with it from a religious point of view, but I've read the Bible and I don't think there's anything in there that's against cremation.

Me too! I've given it a lot of thought and after informing my family, I took it one step further. I made out a living will via The Five Wishes document that I ordered online. It states that I wish for a small service at the funeral home with some of my favorite songs played and then that's it. My ashes are to be scattered over my beloved garden.

A lot of people do and that's fine. Personally I'd prefer to be buried, but I think it's because the Biblical idea of from the earth thou came and to the earth thou shall return got into my head.
A bunch of us were talking about this the other day and one woman said at that point (after death) she wouldn't care one way or the other about cremation or burial.

Cremation seems extremely wasteful to me, selfish even. Graveyards should be orchards, with the trees planted beside each grave. Why be scattered dust when you could be a nice apple tree?

Well my sister was cremated not 100% sure why but I think it was because she wanted her ashes to be scattered across her daughter's grave but I don't mind either way.
Why do you Bex?

I want to be taxidermied. Then I want wire ran through my body, and then I would be mounted on a pedestal and put in a town square. Every day someone can come and bend me into a new pose. I would be the town statue.
