I can cite reasons for it, but I can't justify it. Since some communities of our species have been able to live in harmony with nature and not destroy things we need in order to survive, destruction is not an intrinsic, inevitable aspect of being human.

What then will you call yourself if you can not justify yourself as human? There are questions that can only be answered by question. Biblically, Historically, Scientifically and Philosophically I am human created in the image of God with morals and personality as a person. You can not call dogs, horses, cats or any kind of animal a person. I am not a robot either. Man is a verbalizer. Man is a rationalistic being. And that's it. The most unique creature in the universe. as far as man's knowledge and wisdom is concerned.

Ammendments made to the nuclear non proliferation treaty. The devil's in the dare. If one country launches a nuclear assult on another nuclear capable country, the severe reciprocral reactions would stretch so beyond the capacity of humans to reproduce and regenerate their civilizations and cultures, and their lifes. Humans will evolve into animals that live in fall out ecologies, probably bringing the evolution of intelligence to a halt.

Well, to paraphrase Bill Cosby - "we brought us into this world, so we can very well take us out, too!" LOL

Seriously, our demise is seriously overrated and overstated. It is going to be extremely difficult to get all the humans off this planet. Anyone who's ever tried to annihilate a rat colony or a horde of locusts or all the cockroaches in one's home will understand - life in any form is terribly tenacious and adaptive.

what humans do best is destroy each other.

it's because we're greedy, self-motivated, jealous creatures. everything we do is for the self. even loving somebody and getting married is selfish. we do it so that we are not lonely, so that we have somebody to help us do things, so that we can have certain gratification, and so that we have somebody to take care of us when we are in need. the only reason we don't have a cure for aids or for cancer is because all our doctors and biological researchers are working against each other. they are all trying to be the one person who finds the cure - to secure awards, money, and fame. imagine what could happen if all those people would come together and put their ideas together... imagine what humans could accomplish if they worked together.
but no... rather we are greedy, self-motivated, jealous creatures.

Humans only prefer to think we are the center of the Mother's universe. Actually, we are parasites on her back. When she has had enuff, she will shrug her glorious shoulders, get rid of us and begin again. if we contribute to it, it is because we have become so selfish and ego centric that we no longer realize, we live at her pleasure!

We are human. That is enough, and an answer as well. We strive to survive, but are self-destructive. We try to better ourselves, yet destroy our habitat in doing so. No justification possible, it is just human nature.
