I grew up with the impression that Jesus Christ is somewhat a mixed up of middle easten race, good height and the facial features were blue eyes, fine boned nose with beards. He looks handsome enough in all HIS statues in churches as well as in pictures or in documentary or movies.

Couple issues right here. type confusion between the human and divine natures of the single individual of Jesus AND the which skill of Jesus showing us the daddy The Bible says guy is in a twin of God, this does not advise adult adult males seem alike or like God. guy reflects God's glory decrease back in some specific way different issues or creatures do no longer. Jesus is in a twin of the daddy in terms of His character and divine nature no longer via fact of exact features. Jesus does 'instruct us the daddy' and yet Jesus is one individual with 2 natures: an unfallen human one like us with out sin, and a divine one that shares the divine nature. In His human nature he does not unavoidably seem previous and at one factor became totally God and totally toddler as He laid in the animal feeding trough wrapped in swaddling outfits. He regarded... nicely... like a new child... and He became.

I think OH's description is probably pretty close. I've always pictured Jesus as looking something like Anwar Sadat.

Otherwise.... OH! surely you know Isiah was written many years before Jesus lived. He is not mentioned in Isiah (excluding some fanciful projections of Jesus back into the text) and certainly no one in Isiah's day had any idea what Jesus looked like.

That is the Romanised version of Jesus.

Jesus was a Torah observent Jew from the 1st Century, like the Apostle Paul... And the both of them were Semitic, not Caucasian. A 1st century middle eastern semitic person looks similar to the Arabs in the Middle East, not Caucasian Europeans.

Also, it is somewhere in the book of Isaiah, it is said that Jesus was not of comely features, meaning that he was not hansome to look at.

Jesus was a simple man who lived his life like his teachings. He does not look at all like the man on the crucifix, gaunt body, sunken eyes and thin like a skeleton. He belonged to a family of kings, meaning they were descendants of a fine set of ancestors. I agree that he was as dark as the middle eastern men that reside in the middle east today, and just as short.

Good looking, I don't think so.In all likely hood, Jesus resembled what the men of the middle east look like, Dark hair, dark skin, big honker for a nose, fat lips. Not much a chance of white skin, blue eyes, blond hair etc etc as our statutes show..........

NOT a pretty blue-eyed modle-looking guy with that yellow bubble around his head like a lot of people seem to think. He didn't come for that, to be like that. He didn't want to be remembered for being attractive so He probably wasn't. He probably did have a beard but that's cuz no one shaved back then :)

well based on my opinion. Jesus could be look like an old man begging for food because he is disabled and nobody takes care of him. He could be a child that is trying to persuade you to not smoke or saying that what you are doing is bad but you did not listen to him. He could be you, me or someone you meet outside your house but you did not even bother to look at him or listen to them.

Jesus is all that you can imagine. He is the embodiment of unconditional love. I can't tell you what Jesus looks like for it is impossible to describe every persons vision of pure beauty.

It would seem to me that the only pictures we have in our minds are many years and centuries of painted pictures of Christ by those that never ever saw him.
