Just got into a debate about history with my father and the attention span of people was mentioned, Hitler captured their attention. How did he do this? By relating to their emotions. Would that go to the KISS principle, the simplicity of our emotions.

I mean, is our obsession with a certain factor that makes us more receptive to information offered on that topic and allows us to capture it even if it is whispered from a range that you normally wouldn't hear? Can you sense the interest?

Can you recall an example from your own life experience where you thought your knowledge of something was positively true only to find out it wasn't?

im reading is geneology of morals but im a little confused.

according to him where did guilt and conscience come from?

it has to be more than a "debt" as he claims. because if i were to kill a person with no punishment, i for one would feel bad. not because of retribution. but because i caused a great suffering.

even though it is just a theory? Just like the theory of Creationism in the Bible, and the theory of the Big Bang? And why, oh why, are so many people so ignorant of other theories and believe that they, themselves hold the answer to everything?

I have had 4 full months of challenges. It isn't getting any better, and I fear I may be in a rut. Where may I go for help? I want to somehow recover from the gloom. I don't want medication, just counseling, but I have no insurance.

"Motion"

There's something special in your motion,
your eyes that sparkle with unending devotion.
Your shine, your light, such enviable attraction,
your smile undimmed, stirs a tingled reaction.

Though I may not know you, I feel your spirit,
true wisdom, your charm, your beauty I'm near it.
an afterglow bright, you leave indelible marks,
in my thoughts, my soul, for I wish to embark.

Upon a journey of your thoughts, your insatiable thirst.
To open my mind, I receive your knowledge first.
Your body a temple, a beautiful morning dew flower,
blessed to perfection, with sensuality and power.
There's something speical.... your Motion....

I realize that it ended the War with Japan and that it probably saved more lives than it cost, but couldn't we acheived the same result bombing military targets rather than cities full of civilians. The consequences, the ends, do not justify the means, if the means involves the immoral use of human beings to acheive those ends. The dropping of A-bombs on the cities of Japan on August 6th and 9th in 1945 were immoral as were the destruction of the Twin Towers in NY on September 11, 2001.

This is an Ethics Q and I'd be glad to hear *reasoned* rebuttals of my ethical judgement or comparison of the aforementioned events.

Like been cut off while driving.
Or having some one slam the door in your face fallowing them into a building.
Do we let go of them?
Or some one you care about tells you a little white lie?
AHHHHHHHHRrrrrr……

* Don't trust people who change their feelings with time;

* We make them cry who care for us, we cry for those who don't care for us and we care for those who will never cry for us.

* Never explain yourself to anyone. Because the person who likes you doesn't need it. And the person who dislikes you doesn't believe it.

* Don't make someone become the priority in your life, when you're just an option in their life. Relationships work best when they're balanced.

* Don't write your name on sand, waves will wash it away. Don't write in sky, wind will blow it away. Write your name in hearts of people you come in touch with. That's where it will stay.

* The most difficult phase of life is not when noone understands you, but when you don't understand yourself.

* Remember you are born to live. Don't live because you were born!

* Whatever you give to life, it gives you back. Do not hate. the hatred which you give will come back one day to you.

A lot of people said to me " u please give up thinking about life because there is no answer for it." It really wastes time to think what we should do in this life? Why I have to be born and spend so many years for a plenty of the repeated cycles of difficulties, solutions, happy and then sad, laughter and then cry. Just forget all things, stop thinking and become only peaceful is the finalized solution.?
