There's something special in your motion,
your eyes that sparkle with unending devotion.
Your shine, your light, such enviable attraction,
your smile undimmed, stirs a tingled reaction.
Though I may not know you, I feel your spirit,
true wisdom, your charm, your beauty I'm near it.
an afterglow bright, you leave indelible marks,
in my thoughts, my soul, for I wish to embark.
Upon a journey of your thoughts, your insatiable thirst.
To open my mind, I receive your knowledge first.
Your body a temple, a beautiful morning dew flower,
blessed to perfection, with sensuality and power.
There's something speical.... your Motion....

I love this poem. I very much appreciate the link to that which inspired it. . . and would like to comment on the whole premise of re-incarnation. Like you, I am in wonder of "synchronicity" that occurs in my life all the time like this. The way I, personally, interpret this event is that the grasshopper put you in mind of your Grandmother didn't it. I think that was the whole point. She was just dropping into your lives to simply say "hi" knowing you would both remember the connection of the grasshopper to her earth life. Your poem is delightful and I think Todd has an especially good bead on any editing you might want to do with it. It's altogether wonderful. Keep posting, I very much enjoy.

i mean yea it is romantic, but as far as poetry goes it isnt very good.
you see good poetry always leaves something up for personal interpretation, and yours lacks this. your message is too clear
