God springs forth from the primitive limbic system of your brain, the last remnants of your reptillion past. The area where our raw emotions reside, including the irrational belief systems.

The 'religious' experience is triggered by deep depression, starvation, near death, or other highly charged situations. The 'born-again' christian phenomena has a scientific basis....yes, your limbic system. Why has man evolved this mechanism you might ask? Simple...it was a survival mechanism of our cave man ancestors to cope with a hostile and unknown universe.

The cerebral cortex is a more recent development. Here is where our rational and logical thought processes take place. It is here that the atheists have found their basis in reality.

In reality, there is no sentient, omnipresent, omnipotent supernatural being or force....therefore all the inequities and misery of the world will always persist, no matter how hard some try to get that limbic brain of ours to work...sorry

This is like the question "Does order in the universe exist?" If we can not believe that God exist, then we have to protest those who made our references. Take out the word "God" in the Dictionaries, Encyclopedias, Almanacs, etc. God exist as majority of the world's population believes. This is the rule/role of the majority. God in the Bible is the God of Order. And those who opposed are in the group of dis-ordered people. That's why there was never a president in the USA or any highly tech-advanced nation in the world leaders that does not believe in God. There were few noted crazy leaders in the world but they were known to be what they are in a bad image.

What physically? Then NO
But a lot of people have a belief that "he" does in a spiritual sense....
There is no proof and no evidence EITHER way. It can't be proved, nor has it been dis-proved.
You have to make up your own mind.

It very much depends on how you "define" God.
I don't follow a "prescribed" religion. But I have a spiritual side. To me, "God" is a spiritual "essence" a kind-of "life - force" a "higher power". Its not a person, or a set of "rules" in a religious book. Its part mother nature, part Buddha, etc. Its SPIRITUAL. Its not a person.

You have to have an idea or opinion about who or what "god" IS before you can begin to contemplate whether or not "he" exists.

Its interesting the way everyone just assumes that God is a "he" well who says?

I guess it comes down to whether or not you have spiritual beliefs and want to believe and develop that side of yourself. Decide for yourself.

A question such as this tends to evoke responses from both extremes. The God squad who are determined to convert everyone into believing that god exists and if you don't believe you are gonna end up in hell. And the atheists, who just as strongly believe god does NOT exist and if you believe "he" does the you must be some brain washed fool who can't think outside the box. I think as with most things the truth lay in the middle, its about finding a balance.

Please don't waste your life wondering about this. You will never find the answer because no-one on earth actually knows. The fixed belief that there is, many problems and killings.

No-one know that there isn't either. I believe that the answer is to live a life of integrity and honesty for your own sake and that of your friends and family, as well as the rest of the human race.

I know many people, some believers and some not but I don't discuss it with them because both sides are sure they are right. You have only to observe how certain religions wish to impose their beliefs on others to see how dangerous it is.

I hope this is helpful.

Look at the trees around you. Listen to a babbling brook or the crickets on a warm summer night. See a shooting star, Watch a child being born, fall in love. God exists, but God is different for all people. God is the only one who can know everything about you, and the only one who you can confide in about anything. God is what you make God, it is what is inside you.

i've notice that when people ask "does god exsist?" they are really asking for faith in something. and all it comes down to is a matter of faith in anything. you will hear people say that there is no evidence or concrete proof that god exsist but remember these are the same people who either believe in nothing at all or sceintific facts. you must remember that even sceintific facts change from time to time when new evidence and facts are brought to the table so to speak. and even these facts were just theories when someone thought of them. and you must have faith in this theory to prove it so. its all a matter of faith in yourself and finding what you believe is the truth.

If we and all of "creation" needs a creator then who or what created Him
If we need a devine intelligence just to be this smart what kind of intelligence is needed to create a intelligence capable of creating us
If you need someone to make life possible and God is a living god then what made God's life possible

i are not sure if he exist or not, but actually, look back history and daily life, god help us little; most of time, it is people themself who encourage and help each other...

most of time, we dont know lots about world, or i who dont know too much world, so i can't say god doesn't exist, i only can say, when one is in suffering, the god in his/her heart might save him/her from diffficuties, and the brightness in his/her heart might help they get out of trouble.

the nature, the beauty, the most purest thing exist in people heart and mind, some evil exist in there either, though; we only can hope this world more beautiful than before and more pure ...no war, no disaster, and no fight....

best wishes to everyone;
