"Money makes the world go round", or so the saying goes. But what is the true value of money? Money consists of (in Australia) pieces of thin plastic with numbers printed on them and metal discs with numbers stamped on them, but what is the true value of a pocket full of this stuff?

Try this, take only what you are wearing right now and a fist full of money. Go to the middle of a desert, the ocean, the top of a mountain or any place hostile and far from other people. Now try to live there with only what you are wearing and your money, no tools, no communications, no help just money. How long would you survive? Or if this is too much trouble go to a zoo and jump in the lions cage, especially one that has cubs in it, and try to pay the lion with money not to attack or try to pay a bear not to maul you if you threaten it. How much luck would you have?

So my question is what (if anything) is the true value of money? Why is it that people will spend their lives in pursuit of it? Since money seems only to hold a virtual value to humans, is it that those obsessed with it are virtually insane?

What is the true value of money?

Please explain your answers and the reasoning behind them.

Thanks.

Some may say that people can share the same opinions, same ideas, etc. But is it even possible that the exact same idea or concept is being thought by two different minds. After all, we can never know what's cooking in the other guy's pot and we can never really prove with accuracy what the other guy is thinking. Also, even if guy A tells guy B what he is thinking, he would be using words and the way the words were undestood by the other guy, guy B, can be very different from what guy A had in mind. Words can never tell the whole picture of the state of mind of Mr.A and Mr.B can never capture the whole meaning of what Mr.A said. So it's like A and B are imprisoned in their own minds.

Or as the years went by, you realized how superficial it really was or is?
Like our society places way to much emphasis on appearances. And has your realizing the wealth of wisdom, life lessons and knowledge greatly outweighed over rated youthful looks?

I have a new girl friend. She devorced not long ago
We came to like each other, already had sexual realationship. Recently we decided to live together .

Accidentally I found her ex husband photo on her bag,She is still keeping it. sometimes somebody called her mobile she didint want to talk beside me.I became jealous.

Last night we had an arguement, cuz it happened again .She told me it was nobody. But I couldnt believe her.I was pretty uncomfortable.

But now I think

anyway we are not married even if she meets somebody else why do I have to care ?Our sex is still great I can sleep feeling her warm body,Isnt it enough for me?

But I cant stant it if she cheats on me. Agony remains in my heart.
I dont believe her words maybe she told the truth.
I cant say I love her but so involved emotionally and physically.I feel an agony

It seems like it would be filled with a lot of excitement, and of course many opportunities that most of us don't experience in our lifetime, but in the long run do you think it brings nearly as much fulfillment and peace a lot of people seem to believe it would?

then He would have to be intrinsically holy and execute perfect justice.
That could mean nothing other than every person in the world being doomed. (nobody is perfect, and God cant tolerate anything less than perfection else he would not be a perfect God)
Could this be the reason for mankinds endless pursuit of a Godless universe, to have no cosmic accountability whatsoever?
Why do you suppose humans are more eager to deny their responsibility to God rather than striving to find a rectified relationship with Him?

Say if a person you know, not very well that is, but you do slightly know him, raped, tortured, brutalized and murdered everyone you ever knew and loved. If you are a very vengeful person, would you kill them on the spot, put them into a position where they will suffer for the rest of their life (if so explain how), or would you just let it slide and let "karma" get to them?

Because if the universe ended right now time would still move forward. Things could stop moving or freeze but its impossible to freeze time. No matter what their will always be a line from one point in the future to the next point.

It seems like no matter what, I veer towards Depression or Fears or Unhappy events. Im deemed as Negative from my significant other most of the time. However, I never seem to get Things right -staight -or perfect. I always feel like Im pleasing the other person and no matter how hard I try not to be a "Pleaser" I end up doing it anyhow and get walked on and abused by my man and others see me as weak -But, I dont ever feel that way until they reinforce it in my mind that Im weak and negative. Which just makes me feel more down and sad and I often think of just giving up on life! Im so frustrated and torn -Life did not seem to be so full of hardships and dissappointments -but thats all it is to me MOST of the time. What am I doing wrong?!??!?!?! Im just trying to be a good person, caring and Loving -Why does that look weak and Needy and Negative to my man? And why do I put so much into a relationship that is going NO WHERE?!?!?!?!? Im such a Fool -I hate this. What did I get myself into?

Well what do you think about this one. Will science ultimately be able to explain you completely and adequately? The "you" that is to be explained includes your personality, values, choices, and actions. Why?
