How did chinese culture, particularly Confucian philosophy, support the political structure of the empire?

It's called manipulating the masses. The power structure in Korea, for example, plays on the social conditioning of the "family" to have a "father" for the country. The same is true in the West and in democracies. Gods, kings, presidents, all form the same process of elaborating on how children have been indoctrinated into their culture.
