I have read an article that says people prefer to buy things with extra features, even if they find such products unmanageable. Microsoft Word 2003 has 31 toolbars and 1500 commands and over half of them go unused by an average consumer. Why is it human nature to want the 101st extra feature, even if that individual is never going to use it, over the 100th feature product?

Just my personal belief, but I don't like any job Period. Life is a very short thing and I would like to enjoy this life but any job that I have had has been mind numbingly horrible. I just don't like working. I am ok with waking up whenever I feel like and spending my days doing things I actually enjoy doing like hiking, playing guitar, and hanging around with common aquaintances. To my knowledge there are alot of people that hate their jobs, but continue to do the work everyday regardless of the mental toll it takes on them. I find this to be completely asinine. I don't want to live off of others tax money and be a welfare case, I just want to be free of any obligation to a work force that I find to be ill suited to my needs, and a complete drain on the lives of our society. I want everyone to just one week to not even think about going and contributing to your job, unless you find your work to be absolutley meaningful and fulfilling. I don't understand so called religons who practice witch craft or magic..Isn't it crazy to believe you can move mountains with a blink of an eye? or a bucket of water full of flowers? I mean what is it that makes us believe that it is okay to try and change destiny because of what we WANT to happen rather then letting it happen? Doesn't it mean more when it just happens and not because we make it happen? Are these power trips, controlling behaviors? A illusional mind? A selfish mind? Does it mean more when we can pat ourselves on the back and say I DID IT..Okay, Okay I want all the credit including the money? I just don't get it..Why and "REALLY" what went wrong?

Why does everyone seem to know what's best for you/me?
Why does everyone try to pressure you/me to go to school or change jobs or feel in order or the only way to be happy in life is to have a job that pays you a millions dollars a years is the right job?
Why does everyone feel what makes them happy will make you/me happy?
Why don't people just be happy with who we are and not what we can change about them?

I am doing an assignment on the philosophy of sports. I have a sports background and what not, but I don't really know what to speak of when talking about the philosophy behind it? should I focus on olympics? competition?
