it is the theory that our life is repeated forever like a tape. we re-experience this life over and over down to the tiniest little detail. and it stays that way for all of eternity. and NOthing in our life ever changes. it was the central topic for alot of nietzsches writings an thoeries.

the thought is horrible and very disturbing. it makes life love and everything else meaningless. i dont know about ou guys but my life has not exactly what you would describe pleasent.

Are the so called 'important' things valued less now than at any point in history?

The example that I give is of personal relationships.
More women than ever before are choosing to persue a career over a relationship, with many who have done this and are older regreting it after the fact.
More men than ever are having very short (Yo-Yo if you like) relationships, then tradeing up if you will.
And visa-versa.

So are the 'important' things in life, those things that the human race has realised it needed throughout it's entire history, things like Love, Hope, Compasion, Empathy, Kindnes, etc. being viewed of lesser value now than in history and why?

Please explain your answers.

I thankyou in advance.

Don't we all want everything to happen now. What we want when we want it.Yes.This is the key to self gratifacation. How do you get this? yes you can make all aspects of your life better by loving yourself and by having your children by your side, maybe the love of your life. But what is true fullfilment if you don't have any religious background, but you do believe and have faith in everything around you that a higher power does exist for you.

Her eyes looked down on me, upon my sorrow

As my soul lies on its death bed

Lost in regret, I Could not change

"I will stand strong in every way"

Nothing but a lie to myself, step by step

Closer to destruction

When I try to turn away from that image

I have failed, those created in my own image

I have crumbled

I say in a small and frail voice, I say

I will not fall and under the pressure of her gaze, I

say

I will not fall x4

I will not crumble x4

This ethic must permeate every aspect of

my life, not just those that come with ease

Rise above, regain control

Tear away from that image

This "one time" has become a habit

and will no longer be found within me

I say again, this time with much

conviction and sincerity

I will not Fall x4

I will not crumble x6

I recently asked this question, but I believe people didn't understand what I was asking...

Am I God? Are YOU God? Are WE Together God?

I'm an instructor at my research university (which legally I cannot disclose the name of do to research integrity/liability reasons) in the physics department and the philosophy department. In one of my courses a student asked "are We god?" I found the question to not be stimulating in anyway. Over some time I thought, "hey why is it this is not stimulating, it's a deep question.." I discovered the reason being is it's impresonal. It doesn't speak to YOU it speaks to everyone else. For example, "Oh we will solve global warming" instead of "I will solve global warming". Using I indicates that there will be a definite response produced by you.

This is not part of my research, as it is not a sound research tool, however, it will produce a small fraction of insight into what people think.

Read "additional info" below because I'm out of space:
