An interesting question. I think givin the current status of the world, and the economies of foreign countries, it would most likely be Japan, or China. How it would be is a difficult question to answer. The United States has sponsored various world affairs since the rebellion, and there would be more death, and chaos around the world. We've never really directly started a war that did not occur on our soil, so it would e much as it is today. The global marketplace would be different. Many things would not be the same. Some for the better, some worse. It's a difficult question to fully answer without complete knowledge of historical events, and the answering of it would take much more space than is allotted here.

In the Book of Revelation, there will come a day when Israel will be attacked from all sides - Armageddon. All that has been holding that back is the USA. Within about 30 to 50 years, this will be a Muslim country, and will no longer protect Israel.

We'll know then what the world will be like without the USA.

Too out there to even consider. That's like asking what the world would be like if you weren't born. Bottom line, we are here. The world isn't perfect, never has been, and never will be. This question is like trying to comprehend how big the entire universe is, you'll just give yourself a headache.

It seems obvious from your question that according to your opinion the US 'rules' the world. While here, I thought it favoured Democracy the most.

It just might be the richest economy and most powerful army to date, that's all.

But please let's not forget that true power lies with the people, always, and as for economic and military power, they can collapse in no time. We have seen that happening in the past and it can happen to any one in the future too.

So let's stay humble and grounded by this knowledge and learn to view the rest of the world with same dignity and respect we would expect from them, some day.

After all, what goes around comes around.

All through the human history, great empires have descended and destroyed themselves all because of their overpowering ambition to rule the world.

Nothing provides us with a better sense of justice, prevailing across the human history than history itself, and it has taught us the most profound lesson in handing power - To handle it with care and with dignity and above all with respect for every one on the planet. As power is a double edged sword, those who tend to misuse it under the influence of their ambitions and pride are destroyed by their vanity and blind-sightedness.

A fleeting glance at human history it enough to reveal to us that those thought of misusing power at hand, ended becoming victims of the very power they once prided themselves over.

In the end, it is power of the people that can sail a nation to its worst crisis and towards its greater glory.

Based on historical fact, it would probably be either Britain or Russia. However both of these would not give us a very good world to live in, one would concur the world and subjugate it the other would concur the world and 'oppress' it. Same diff. really.

Hope this helps.

Great Britain would probably be top dog. Imagine No US during WW2.....France surrenders and Britain was about to, and the US turned the War and was victorious. Imagine that. No US no Britain, no France and so on. We would all be speaking German and Russian.
