Hi There,

At 66, and being a disabled Vietnam-era veteran, my memory isn't what it used to be. So, when I ask myself WHY to the question I posed above...so as to prove or establish its known validity, I now seem to get nowhere.....no matter how hard or long I try.

I used to know this....but unfortunately, I'm having problems now.

Anyway, I'm also working with dropping the context, argument of the false alternative, and the argument from intimidation....in a piece on immigration reform.

So, if any of you Ayn Rand Objectivists, Libertarians, or just philosophy-interested folks out there are willing to help out, I sure would appreciate it, very much.

I'm half-Mexican, and a lot of American Indian...but am neither racist nor ethnocentric.

I'm against the oxymoron of any form, degree or level of amnesty.....with or without the self-invalidating contradiction of any accompanying penalty or punishment.

I sure would appreciate your help.

Thanks.

1.the world is yours?

2. the world and god's power is yours?

3.You are god?

4. You are reincarnation of god?

5.You are son of god and told to change the world?

6. Given a choice by god whether or not to eliminate humanity except yourself and recreate the world?

Final question:
would you say yes if god want to give you the world?

"with great powers comes great responsibility"
think hard

I just read in an answer to one of my questions, "absolute power corrupts absolutely." I am not saying that it cannot be true but it does have counterexamples. So do phrases like, "time is money," and many others. Should we accept things as truth simply because they are social mantras?

Before I die, I want to do something to impact the world. While I may not be able to completely overcome anything big, information sets one's path straight. I ask this question out of all seriousness and hope that I at least can be directed in the right path.

Our society puts so much emphasis on being "happy" but is that a reasonable measure of our condition?

I am 32yrs.

I am quite obsessed with getting old.

Since elementary school I v often got gloomy or even cried thinking my mom and dad someday are going to die cuz we all get older.

People say I dont look old( of course I am 32) but quite often I ask friends do I look old today? quite silly.

I am unsecure psychologically .

I feel like being chased by the obsession that life is short ,I must do something in a hurry.

Thats why I ask here to you.

This may seem weird, but have you thought about what would happen if there were no gravity one day? Would we all just start flying toward the sky and space? I sometimes fear that something tragic like this might happen and kill us all while we are in the middle of debates over immigration and fuel consumption. Has anybody else thought about this?

It seems that "human nature" is always in a state of flux for Marx, depending on the dominant or ruling party. Since what we would commonly call "human nature" changes or is elusive (depending on the society in which human nature exists), it seems to me that Marx would argue that there is either no such thing as "human nature" or that questions about such metaphysical concerns are not relevant. What do you think?
