Of course you can, If you are ready for the RISK and CONSEQUENCES. Life is yours anyway BUT remember, you are born in this society.

Yes we can! However to do so would be to completely separate ourselves from everyone else in the world. Expectations are a part of lfe. We don't have to fulfill others expectation of us unless it involves something we want in exchange. For instance your question suugest that your expecation is to have no expectations. how much do you think would really be accomplished in a society where people were allowed to kill each other. There would be no expectation or accountability of punishment. Soon we would be left with one person. Probably the smartest or strongest person would be the survivor. I can't imagine what it would be like without laws etc. However you are not the first person to ask. I believe all of us get tired of others expectation. Unfortuantely to survive even your asking there is an expectation of agreement with your position. Sorry. I didn't expect it to end this way.

The best and fastest way to fulfill your expectations is to fulfill the expectations of others. Helping other people, helps you.

Life is full of expectations because each individual is, in part, responsible for the movement of humanity. Like every wolf in a pack is expected to do their duty or get outcast. The world (the pack) has expectations of you. Live up to them or be tagged as useless or a burden. Sad but true...

You don't have to look back very far in time to people that didn't have these expectations.

It is part of the disease of our society. It is manufactured by those making money from us to name just one. I truely share your greivance and is one of the things that makes me very angry.

It is difficult to rebel against it if you live in an area where the expectation is high. People will judge you on your job, your possessions, car, house, etc. (I live in one of these places...)

Be strong, and have your life your way.
Be sceptical of people wanting you money; question there motives.

Good luck.....

Sure but every action has a consequence, decide if the consequence is worth the behavior. You don't have to live up to anyones expectations if you don't want to.

" Ummed par dunya kayam hai". The world rests on expectations.Desire, ambitions, dreams to achieve something are part of life. Unless you cherish, life becomes drab. It is another matter that material things tie you to materialism and keep you away from the path of divinity.

i suppose its because without expectations, we become pushovers! plus, our very existence becomes pointless. what's the point in living if you have no goal to work towards, no standards set for yourself? expectations are what's keeping us motivated. they make life meaningful and worth living.
