Forget for the moment you are trying to get published.

Forget for the moment that you are trying to impress the masses.

Looking at what YOU have created with your mind, your imagination, and your creative juices...

How would you define what you have created?

Powerful?

Moving?

Electric?

Sensual?

Inspiring?

What kind of words would you use to exemplify your work?

(No bashfulness allowed!)

read a book called The Longest Heist...
this is what it says on the back of the book.
Five years ago I was thirteen and everything was perfect. I had a loving family, the greatest friends ever, and an amazing house stocked with everything you could ever imagine. I was living a dream, too bad I was about to wake up.
honestly.... after reading that would you consider reading the book.

I already know it's possible to get them through the HarperCollin's FirstLook program, and the SimonSaysTeen PulseIt program may give some away in the future. I've heard of people who work in bookstores and people who have connections to authors getting them but, are there other ways?

Censorship of books is an oft-debated topic in our society. From having a book thrown out of a library to simply placing it in a special room, censorship offends many and at the same time, pleases many. How do you feel about it?

I came across this article, and frankly, it made me angry. But it also made me wonder how others approach literary censorship. So, I'm just looking for your opinions, backed up by facts if possible. If you want to read the article (it's short, if that is a deciding factor in your choosing to read it/not read it), here's a link:

By realistic, i mean sci-fi that are Jurassic-Parkish (where, the story actually sounds like it could happen), I like science-fictions with humans as the central characters (and not some random alien civilization). Does anyone have any books to recommend.

I like books that are 50% character developement and story and 50% actually the science stuff.

For example, i like the sci-fics like "Mercury", "Venus" and "Jupiter" all by Ben Bova (check his books out if you haven't, they are awesome)

What do you like in your main character, and what don't you like. Characteristic's, not morals.

I'm writting a fantasy novel and I started with no idea what was going to happen. I just started writting. I have just over 100 pages right now and haven't had to go back and scrap anything yet, actually I like what I have so far. Anyway, after the first 100 I went back and fixed a few mistakes in spelling and grammer. I ended up adding about two pages in total, just to clairify a few things I didn't when I first wrote it. Being my first attempt at writting a novel I am not sure weather I am going at it in an odd way or weather this tends to be common? It works for me and I'm not going to alter my way I was just curious weather this is common or not?
I myself have no clue what is going to happen next, it just seems to just unfold as I write. No outlines, no clue, no idea. It seems, however to be working quite well for me.

On page 541 of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Griphook took Griffindor's sword after it slipped out of Harry's hand on page 540. Griphook disappeared with the sword. On page 732, Neville Longbottom broke free of the Body-Bind Curse and drew the Griffindor sword from the depths of the Sorting Hat. How did Neville (or the sorting hat) end up with the Griffindor sword when it was last "seen" in the hands of Griphook? And, if the sword was not the Griffindor sword, then how did Neville kill the snake, for it was a Horcrux, and could not be killed by an ordinary sword?

I can't help but draw the parallels between McMurphy and Jesus:

1.) They both are betrayed (Billy/Judas), who then kill themselves
2.) The party with wine and women is reminiscent of the last supper
3.) McMurphy undergoes electroshock therapy on a table that resembles "the cross"

Your opinion?

It is about a boy who goes to live in the wilderness. He is very resourceful!

He catches and trains a falcon to help him hunt, and I think he had a dog or an otter or something.

Then he goes to the library in town and meets the librarian and his dad comes and wants him to come home, but he dosen't want to.

What book is this?
