well I'd rather come to my own conclusion about their personality by reading what they do, not some spoon fed "hes a twisted man for saying such and such" rather I'd like to make it myself.

I love good old fashioned alpha males. Tough and rugged with a soft, sexy side. Like Michael Connelly's Harry Bosch, Daniel Silva's Gabriel Allon (I adore Gabriel) Nelson De Mille's John Corey or James Patterson's Alex Cross. I write one myself and I love to think of him like this chocolate coated truffle rolled in nuts ... with a soft, gooey center. Strange analogy to be sure, but that is my guy. The alpha male character goes back to the Detective Noir fiction of the 40's .. Sam Spade ... Philip Marlowe ... Very hot characters. And I love how they always know how to handle a tough situation one minute and a sexy woman the next. My writing is very influenced by those characters from the 40's. Pax - C

Strength of character. Especially if the main character is a women. I don't mean high morals, I mean someone who can think for themselves, and won't let people push them around. I can not STAND some wimpy a** person who is always whining that they need help. Hmm...for that matter, that is what I like in people in the real life.
