what's your passion for writing????
i wonder since a lot of people have different ideas about it.

The passion for telling a story. See, I consider this a huge art form. The pages are my canvas, the words the colors of the rainbow and my hands the paint brushes that will paint the world that I imagine. I love words and being able to use them in just such a way that I can tell a thousand stories and paint brilliant imagery. To me, it's a blast!

My passion for writing stems from a desire to help people.
Through my writings, someone may see a political issue or a marital problem through a fresh set of eyes. Through writing, I help people see the world from a new point of view.
Every now and then, people tell me about positive effects that have occurred due to having read a piece I wrote. The feeling os satisfaction I derive from that is the source of my passion for writing.

I really enjoy writing academic essays. When I was younger, I tried regular novel-type writing, but it didn't hold my attention the way school essays did. Then I got to college and realized that people wrote the type of things that I really enjoy so now I love it even more because I don't feel as much like a freak.

I also like journalistic writing because it's short, concise and to the point. I get lost with metaphors and too many huge words.

It may be some kind of OCD thing, really, ever since I was 9 yrs. old... just driven to read and write as often as possible. I've done an awful lot of it by now, and some of it IS awful and embarrassing, but it's still out there somewhere, maybe...

A couple things I really like every time I work on them. Sometimes more, it depends. I just love that kind of work in almost any capacity, that's all!

I love to write, and I love to write anything. If an idea comes to me, no matter what genre it is, I save it. I'm into fiction, but essays are really fun to write because I get to say what I want to say about important subjects. As much as I love words, there are not enough to describe how much I *love* to write.
