Here's this theory I've been working on. HP is a lot like Star Wars (a son finds out his dad was a great something-or-other and tries to be like him, everybody compares the two, the force = magic, lightsaber = wand, ron & hermione = han solo & leia, HP = Luke Skywalker, etc etc etc). So is Valdemort REALLY Potter's father?! Haha, JK, I already figured it out.

I'm writing a story, and I need a surprising twist to throw in somewhere. It's about 2 girls who meet a fairy in the woods, but the fairy can't leave and go back to Fairyland or wherever. What should I do to make this more interesting?

I'm writing a story, and one of the characters' names is going to be some spelling of the name 'Gail,' but I don't know which one. The character is young, 13 and immature for her age.
Which one?

My dad has been feeling his sister's spirit around him since her tragic sudden death from cancer. Over the last 8 years he swears she hasn't crossed over yet and it this really makes him sad. He doesn't know what to do to help her cross over. Does anyone know what I can read (or audio tape) to get advice about what he/we need to do to help her?? My dad is very disturbed about why she is still here and no matter how hard he tries to listen and be alert to her to signs he can't figure out why she hasn't crossed over. This isn't a joke. I need some help or advice of what I can do to research this more. Please give me any and all appropriate suggestions. Thanks so much!

i think this is quite a philosophical question. I mean, what actually makes a poem? When i think of a poem i think of a poet writing down their emotions and feelings about something, but writing it in a certain formation. But in my english lesson today somebody pointed out that a poem could be a paragraph from a geography book, all you'd need to do is just space out the lines and make it look like a poem. What do people think? What actually makes a poem?

Looking for a good book to read. I haven't read anything for pleasure for several years (been consumed with reading school books). I was wondering if anyone could tell me of any books they found interesting to read and enjoyed. I'm not in to cheesy romance novels. I have read: The Hobbit, The farthest away mountain, and Bridge to Terabithia, but again this was when I was around 16 years old or younger. I'm looking for something a little more adultish.

An uncle of mine is an aspiring author. He has written a book on the history of earth and progress it has made since the mankind evolved. He wants to bring his book in public, but wants to copyright the book first, before handling it to any publisher. Can anyone give me all the information or how-to of copyrighting a book in India.

She does not like books that everyone has read or are main stream (so no best sellers). She wants to start reading some classic books. Any ideas? She is very opinionated and outspoken. Likes to read about contriversial stuff (god is fake or real, politics, pres bush, etc)

Hey everybody! I'm writing a story and need some help with something. One of my characters is a really outgoing guy and I want him to use a nickname instead of his real name for the majority of the story. Any ideas?

And it has to have something to do with his red/ginger hair!

Best answer will be given to whoever gives the most good ideas. Thanks a lot!
