Along came a peddlar by the name of Stout, he cut her petticoat round and about, he cut her petticoat up to her knees which made the old woman shiver and freeze. She began to shiver and she began to cry, "Lock-a mercy me, this can't be I" -- It goes something like that. My grandfather used to recite it while I was growing up. His parents were straight from Cornwall. I remember seeing it in an anthology about twenty years ago. Maybe a children's anthology?

The Poem starts out with a stranger calling Gabriel the Angel, he is curious about people he one knew. He is posing these questions to Gabriel who inturn tells him about the Hell Bound Train. Not mistakingly the other Poem about the guy drinking in the Bar, and thought he was on a Hell Bound Train. But this one is about the Angel Gabriel.

In high school, I read a book about a little black girl. It was set in the 50's, I think. She was given a gift of a blond-haired, blue-eyed doll. I remember she ripped the doll apart to see what made it different on the inside. I also remember she was raped in the book, and she had half-brothers. She lived in a one room home with her family, and had to work at a young age to keep the family going. Does anyone else remember the book? Name and author?

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows comes out July 21!!!!

There are apparently three "versions"... Hardcover, Paperback and "Deluxe" (which is much more expensive).

What the heck is the Deluxe?

By the way... I can't wait for the next book.

The release date for the 7th book has been announced, 21st July! I think the 7th book should have been released 7/7/07 nice ring to it dont ya think? Are you glad it has ended? What do you think is going to happen? Do you want Harry to live or die? Why?

I'm full of mixed feelings over how i want to see it end...
on one hand, i want to see Harry triumph over Voldemort and save the day, but on the other hand,( PLZ PLZ PLZ don't trash me for this, it's just an idea that i want to put out...) I kinda want to see the bad-guy to win so the story ends on a fabulous twist... it's become so over done, the whole good triumphs over evil thing, it would be refreshing for the bad guy to win for once... OR, what if Harry gets convinced to go over to the darkside to either take Voldemort's place or rule beside him, i mean think about it, he's become so angry and frusturated lately that i'm seeing a pattern between young master Potter and young master Riddle... you have to admit, it would be an interesting twist...
what do you think should happen?

I have poems that my late husband wrote and I'd either like to publish them as a book of poetry or collaborate with someone to develop musical lyrics which may be the highest commercial use for his work. It's part of his legency and he'd want me to make a fortune if it were possible. I have the perseverance to move the project along. Please share your ideas? Thanks in advance.

i personally think that this world has lost a great author.a master writer.i was totally shocked.i am still not able to believe that he is dead.novels like if tomorrow comes are a work of art.a masterpiece.i hope his soul rests in peace.even though he has let this world he will always live in our hearts.

i got to the stage with them where they told me i need a critique. luckily i traced them to perfora.net, a dangerous website (thank god my father is a prgrammer!)and found out they weren't serious!
anyone else had a bad experience with them or someone similar? does anyone want to tell me why they actually do this and where they get their money? be grateful for any feedback on this type of thing.
