I am so sick of these books. I like them and everything, but there are tons of good books out there. For God's sake pick up a different book.

Amen. I'm all for anything that gets the youth of America to pick up a book, but c'mon...it's Harry Potter Overkill. I just hope some of these kids are reading some other books. We can only hope.

If you hate Harry Potter so much, don't read them. I absolutely adore the Harry Potter books and will be sad to see the end. I'm wondering if you have even read any of these books, to be judging them based on attention they receive. I do understand though that everyone is entitled to their valid opinion, so there is mine.

of course there are good books and since i work at a bookshop, i see that people seek them and buy them. this doesnt mean that we wont admit that we love harry potter and read it all the time!

Actually, I think it's nice something's out there to get kids reading again.
What does get on my nerves is the whole marketing craze that surrounds it - with the dolls, and the t-shirts, and the whatever-you-can-imagine with Harry Potter's face on it. But that's just consumer society for you. If it weren't him, it would be something else.

I have never read any of these books. I like James patterson, Nora roberts, Debbie macomber.

Yeah I know what you mean.. I like the books but they are so hyped up in the media - there are other good books - you are right.
