JKRowling.com has recently been updated with news that Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, the seventh and final book in the series, will be released on July 21st, 2007, one week after the fifth movie hits theaters.
Scholastic has followed with a press release in which Lisa Holton, President of Scholastic Children's Books said, 'We are thrilled to announce the publication date of the seventh installment in this remarkable series. We join J.K. Rowling's millions of readers - young and old, veterans and newcomers - in anticipating what lies ahead.' You can read the full press release here.
The hardcover will sell for $34.99 with the deluxe edition fetching $65.00. These high prices could mean the book will be longer than any of the previous six.
J.K.R has said in interviews that she thinks that Book 7 will be shorter than Order of the Phoenix. But assuming the book will be shorter than OOTP, which weighed in at 870 pages, she's still given herself room to write a respectable 869-page tome. J.K.R. has alot of loose ends that she needs to wrap up, so don't be surprised if Book 7 comes close to that length.

As others have said there are a lot of loose ends. Rowlings has said the book will not be her longest, so I'm guessing around 800-850 pages or so.
