The city will be kind of like the bad parts of Harlem, Queens, and Brooklyn. It's for a story I'm writing about drugs addicts, teen pregnancy, etc.. Thank you in advance. :D

Has anyone here read any of Stephen Fry's novels and, if so, which would you recommend? I'm enjoying his bizarre autobiography and just wondered what people thought of his other books.

Thanks. :-)

Do they have a specific place, or do they just come at the end of the main series?

For college prep english we are reading 3 books. We are done with the first one, now we are reading Life and Death in Shanghai. I will not be able to finish it. I need a chapter summary on each chapter, keypoints, and what you thought. Thank you very much for helping me. It means a lot!

Just basic plot (and possibly themes, but simple enough for it to not confuse me!)

I read it awhile ago and it was from my highschool library. I remember alot but can't find anything about it. It was fairly short and paperback.
It is about a teenage girl whose father opens this greek restaurant which she paints murals for, i think during this she somehow calls these greek godesses to her town.. These sisters show up and they are beautiful and everyone loves them at school, even there mother is gorgeous. They end up being these 'goddesses' or something and suck life/brains out of their male classmates and their victims end up being found in a puddle of water. The girl finds out these new girls are evil and stops them before too late.. that is all i remember. Oh and i think they had matching bracelets with a greek letter engraved on them.
Any help is appreciated! thanks

I want to post my story for review (romance/supernatural) on more then one board. I only know of Writing.com. Can anyone direct me to other sites, like writing.com, so I can get my work looked over? It needs a lot of work, and I'm looking for a place where the people will be brutally honest.

I would like to write my paper on either John Bunyan or C.S. Lewis. We have to write a paper about a specific period/genre in literature and we have to include one specific author and his works, as well as the events/surroundings that inspired his works. Who should I pick out of either of those two men? Both were writing in fascinating circumstances and wrote great works. I'm just interested to see what you think I should do (and don't worry, I'm not going to use any of this in the paper. I just want an objective opinion).

In the book Notes From A Small Island he refers to the size of The Lake District in England, and says 'The Lake District itself takes up less space than the Twin Cities'.
What does he mean by 'the Twin Cities'?
