It's called 'The Dominatrix'.
It is 2060; all men are kept in vats and electronically fed the illusion that it is a male dominated society of 2007. In fact the world is run and populated solely by women who keep the men enslaved and deluded purely for their seed. There is one man, Wot, who it has been prophesied can fight the oppressors and bring in the new order of true reality.
Is it a winner?

I like to read a lot, but then sometimes I feel as if I am boring my boyfriend. I took this semester off from school because I just can not afford it this time around. So, I figured that I should not waste this time, and have started to read a minimum of 100 pages a day. Is this weird? I know that there is more to learn in the world than just what you read in books, but somehow I feel comfortable knowing that I am learning something that should teach me something.

I am tutoring a 17 yr old boy in English, and he asked me what authors or book he should read, to increase his reading and writing skills. The first thing that came to mind was The Great Gatsby because I read it when I was 17 and I loved the book. Do you this was good advice and can you recommend any other good books he should read?

Anyone have any comments about the `new novel`- where characters eat and chat and gossip and scr** without connecting and/or getting intimate?????

Most of the trash which passes for literature nowadays has characters who are, to put it kindly, `zipless`.

Anyone find this boring or have we become accustomed to this sort of trash????

I just bought this book today. I've been meaning to buy it for awhile but just didn't have the extra cash. Did you read this book and if so was it a good read or not? Also, what was the situation where the woman got some guy to let hostages go by reading to him from this book?

Alice Walker once said, "You can't truly have an open heart until it's been broken."

Does anyone know the source of this quotation?

I've wondered for a few years now who would win: the ancestors of the men of the west or the ancestors of the dwarves in Tolkien's world. Due to a lack of time, I haven't been able to find out the history of Tolkien's dwarves, so would any of you LOtR buffs care to enlighten me? I would be tremendously appreciative to uncover this mystery!!

These Yet To Be United States
Tremors of your network
cause kings to disappear.
Your open mouth in anger
makes nations bow in fear.
Your bombs can change the seasons,
obliterate the spring.
What more do you long for ?
Why are you suffering ?
You control the human lives
in Rome and Timbuktu.
Lonely nomads wandering
owe Telstar to you.
Seas shift at your bidding,
your mushrooms fill the sky.
Why are you unhappy ?
Why do your children cry?
They kneel alone in terror
with dread in every glance.
Their nights are threatened daily
by a grim inheritance.
You dwell in whitened castles
with deep and poisoned moats
and cannot hear the curses
which fill your children's throats.
