I just bought this book today. I've been meaning to buy it for awhile but just didn't have the extra cash. Did you read this book and if so was it a good read or not? Also, what was the situation where the woman got some guy to let hostages go by reading to him from this book?

Ahhhh.... now you have me stumped!! I know what situation you're talking about but I can't remember who or where that happened. Seems like I might have seen it on Oprah or something.

Anyhow, I have read the book. It is a good book. I read it a few years back so I don't remember a lot of details now but I remember thinking at the time that it was a very good book.

I didn't agree with everything Rick Warren had to say. He tends to get a bit overly preachy. BUT he does give plenty of food for thought that makes it a very worthwhile read.
