I've wondered for a few years now who would win: the ancestors of the men of the west or the ancestors of the dwarves in Tolkien's world. Due to a lack of time, I haven't been able to find out the history of Tolkien's dwarves, so would any of you LOtR buffs care to enlighten me? I would be tremendously appreciative to uncover this mystery!!

Aule was the valar who created the dwarves. He get tired of waiting for the firstborns of Iluvatar (the elves) to wake up and he wanted so much someone to teach him his craft so he created dwarves to be his own children. Iluvatar got angry with Aule and then Aule felt ashamed and tried to kill his own creations. But Iluvatar stopped him and accepted dwarves as a gift! But he put them to sleep because he wanted elves to come first and then men. The point is that Aule didn't have the knowledge to make the dwarves perfect and Iluvatar, though he permitted their existence, denied to complete them!
So I guess that the ancestors of the dwarves would never win!

Tolkien also wrote The Simarilian, which is a history of Middle Earth and it deals with the origin of the dwarves. I don't remember all the details but there is a Creator/God character who's name I don't recall and some lesser beings called the Valar. It was one of these Valar that created the dwarves rather than he Creator/God who created elves and men. I think this is why dwarves are less important and less powerful than elves and men.

despite if somebody can devise an egalitarian financial gadget is in my opinion beside the point, If being trustworthy and redistributive with wealth have been ever a difficulty to those in means then they might have devised this way of gadget an prolonged time in the past. No allegorical tale can wish to cancel the avarice and selfishness it incredibly is inherent in human nature. the choose to get carry of isn't something new and indifference to injustice and suffering is likewise an unpalatable fact that folk do no longer choose to stand up to. Our society is not any worse and much less desirable than it ever has been and is not any longer likely to alter in any considerable way for hundreds of years to return simply by fact human nature hasn't replaced that lots. i'm no longer religious in any respect yet recognize that what motivates lots of politicians (and human beings usually) are the seven deadly sins. working example, Bush and Blair wasted billions that could have been spent on useful projects on the Iraq conflict no longer least simply by fact their sense of delight made them choose to make their mark. The waste of human life and components that accompanied replaced into collateral harm such is the character of the human ego...
