Highlander in Her Bed by Allie Mackay is a fun romance novel. It isn't set in the medievel time period, but it is set in Scotland and has medievel ghosts and such. It was my first romance novel and I was very pleased with how it was written.

oooh! My cousin has this book she lent me called "The Bride".

It's about this young woman named Jamie, an English Girl, who was forced to marry a Scot laird, as well as her sister. She is the prized daughter of her father, a english nobleman, because she does everything around the house with her servants. The laird who married her pretends not to like her, but he ends up becoming putty to her, and she him, and yet she still has to win over his kingdom, who is still grieving with the loss of his first wife. She ultimately gains their trust, but has to deal with attempts on her life at the same time. A Very good book! Very funny too!

I also recommend:
Danielle Steel

Going Home- Nora Roberts. (3 stories in one)

And romance novels you find at your local bookstore. Just read the summaries on the back. They're usually older, and rather cheap to buy.

I wish I knew the other titles pertaining to the Renaissance time period that my cousin lent me...

A great romanace novel is Twilight and the series. I PROMISE u will love it except it takes place in modern time and it might seem corny because its about vampires but it isn't. This girl falls in love with Edward (vampire) and he likes her too but he wants to stay away because he knows he might kill her. The book is the best and its By Stephenie Meyer.

Check out the reviews in Amazon u will be amazed by how many people loved it.
