Viktor Frankel's "Man's Search for Meaning". He's a renowned psychologist who was also a survivor of Auschwitz. Basically he says happiness and meaning are choices and anyone can have them despite the worst circumstances. This book isn't a "self help" piece of garbage.

A Writer's Journey Through Poetry and Prose. I happen to know the author, and I wrote a review of his book. It is quite amazing. Gregory is just ridiculously brilliant and funny, and his work is quite inspirational. He suffers from Osteogenesis Imperfecta (a brittle bone disorder) and discussing his illness in the book.

I liked "Your Best Life Now: 7 Steps to Living at Your Full Potential " by Joel Osteen. Even if you're not very religious, it's really inspiring.
