To you my protector, my light and my love,
I give you my heart, like a star up above,
You brighten my world, when bad men try to rule it,
You break them like stone, in pain you strive through it.

I was imprisoned, alone in the dark,
You came in with light, and stole my poor heart,
Alone in the world, you came in with your love,
You are my protector, my star up above.

I have never been able to read the book (for weird personal reasons), but I have seen both the movie and the mini-series. The ending of each is so drastically different that it makes me wonder: How does the novel end?

I've been a fan of Laurell's from the start. I had read Nightseer and loved it. Later the Anita books

Anita was a great character. I especially loved the religious aspect of the novels and that Anita was devout follower. So many vampire novels want to get rid of the whole christianity angle. She once said she attended church 3 days a week.

Now its about sex. Gone are the narrow escapes, the gun and magic battles, the homicide investigations, and watching Anita put it all together and solve the mystery. In its place are sex with multiple partners and strangers.

I remember early when Anita would worry about flashing her panties accidentally. Now she's naked and having sex in a room with onlookers. the various locales of New Orleans are replaced with a bedroom. Danse Macabre takes place in the bedroom from chapters 4 to 45. With the characters just talking or having sex or talking about having sex. However I found a replacement for Anita in Eve Dallas by J.D.Robb. Give it a try.

I am writing a sequel to Pride and Prejudice (please don't criticize me, I know, I've heard it before...) and would like to know what people think of the plot.
OK, it takes place 9 years after P&P, the Darcys happily married with 3 children. Mr. Bennet is ill and unlikely to recover. Mrs. Bennet is in hysterics, and in constant need of attention from her daughters. Kitty meets a charming young man who she sees as good and polite. She is attempting to restrain her flirting (a wonderful sign to the Darcys) until he unexpectingly proposes to MARY! Kitty has been mislead, and her good spirits and intentions are destroyed. She goes to the Wickham's town to recooperate and reflect. Lydia is worried about Wickham often disappearing and needs help with their 5 children. Elizabeth leaves her own kids for a while, leaving Darcy in charge. However, Mrs. Bennet makes an unplanned visit and insists on staying with her grandchildren. Darcy goes after Elizabeth, and says their children are with her

How long did it take you to read it?

And, I have to read it for school? Do you think they'll test me on it (high school)?

Shakespeare's Sonnets are a pinnacle of Western culture as are his plays. I saw that someone, probably an actor or director of theater, said that his plays were much more important.

Certainly more people know him for his magnificent plays but that doesn't means that they are more important than the Sonnets and other poetry outside the plays (often modified for use in the plays.)

As a poet, I find that studying and teaching the Sonnets is just as important to me as studying and teaching the plays. These days, people really have difficulties with Shakespeare's language in general so certainly most will prefer the plays often in modern adaptations which leave the magnificent language behind.

There are some things I just feel would work better if I wrote it out on paper. Other times, I find it impossible to write fast enough to keep up with what I'm thinking so I type.

What do you do?

I have begun plenty of stories, but I have no idea which to finish! Please give me your opinions:

1. A girl is sent to meet her large and loud family. She has been sheltered from them all her life, and is shocked by the drama of numerous love affairs, a tangle of ancient disputes, a strange guest she is falling for, and trying to get some reading in!

2. A rich girl who hates it. She is judged by money, people expect her to be a snob just because she has 4 credit cards, and people like her for her money. She just wants to write, among a family of models, designers, and actors. She is sent away to live with middle class friends and starts over... until her older, snotty sister joins her and completely turns the modest, quiet town into a fashion soap opera. How will she survive?

3. A sequel to Austen's Pride and Prejudice. The Darcy's have 3 children, and Elizabeth has much to worry about. Mr. Bennet is sick, unlikely to recover. Wickham is disappearing and needs help with her..

1) A story about a woman and her family on what seems like another Thanksgiving. As the woman realizes how distant she actually is from her family, other parts of her family have to deal with issues they recently are going through. The day goes extremely wrong when one person ends up in the hospital and another one dies. Can the family be close ever again?

2) In a small country, the whole place is run by another tiny country underneath the border. It is a post-apocalytic Earth and the people believe they are the only survivors so they have come to a truce. But when the rest of the surviving societies are hidden from the truth of a war, it will take a group of friends to open the eyes and stop the oppression.

3) James Arrowman wakes up in a rehab center diagnosed with an overdose of cocaine. James remembers nothing about it. Despite what his counselor tells him is the world and his pathetic life, James also believes he is a young commander of a NASA ship. Can this addict find reality?

I am considering self-publishing a book. Ive heard of self-publishing companies such as trafford, iUniverse, Dog Ear, etc... However, Im skeptical and leary since there are some scams out there. I'd love to hear about other peoples experience with self-pub. What company you used, and if they did what they said they would do, or just took your money & ran.

No my heart does not beat
No my eyes do not see
No the warm summer heat I shall never know
Did you even think of me on that day
When you listned to what others had to say
Your to young to be a mother is what they had to say
If you had listend to your heart
I would have been 5 today
I could have been a ballerina
A girl shopping at the mall
I could have been a great football star
Or just great with a bat and ball
But I guess we will never know
Because of your choice
to get rid of me
I am not angry
I just wonder why
So I guess this is goodbye.
