THE VALUE OF THE MIND, SIMPLIFIED

by Me

How about the conceptualization of
intra psychic structures? For fun?
Balderdash, say you? Tennis, anyone?
Tennyson, anyone? Not keen on Lord Alfred?
Can't say I blame you. Being long dead
might just explain why he's under-read.

While starlets and scalawags share a bed
true genius seldom keeps the family fed.
Stephen Hawking taps his fingers to the beat
of Coleman Hawkins, while his quarks collide
with grand octaves - music and math glorified.

One bled this from his soul.
The other one just knows.

While there is no correlation between creativity
and financial gain, both provide their rewards.

The trick is in choosing
what the spirit can afford.

How much is one willing to give up to ensure
either smugness of mind or stock options galore?

How readily do we barter the soul?
And when we do who's left to know?

And at what point do saints
take on the role of sinners?

And when all is said and done
who dictates the real winners?

I am looking for a book that teaches how to write plays, screenplays and write for television all in one book. The book as a long tittle with the word playwriting in it. The cover of the book is white an yellow with a picture of a movie clapper, the picture of two theatre faces: one that frowns and one that smiles, a camera and so on. It is in English. The authors are multiple.

What is Lt. Henry seeking in the book?

Is he seeking happiness or love or something else? Does he find what he is looking for, and what is the climax or turning point of the book?

She thinks the book was called “For one brief shining moment…there was Camelot.” And maybe it was written by Theodore Sorenson. Not positive. It was written in the late 60’s or early 70’s. It is fiction. It is about JFK telling what would have happened if he had lived. Does this sound familiar to anyone? In print or out of print? I'd like to buy it for her as a gift.

What are you reading right now. I like a really long book, because I read so much in the summer. If it's a good novel, i can't put it down. Right now, I am engrossed in 'Darcy and Elizabeth' by Linda Berdoll. Much better the Pride and Preduice, more modern, but really expands the characters. Can't put it down.

The penultimate chapter says that the Vogon captain has already destroyed the earth but because the Earth's in a plural sector "Anything you demolished kept on popping back up again",
OK, I understand that bit, but why, then, does it say "That would soon be taken care of", am I missing something or does he just demolish another one of the infinite possible earths?
