I'm looking for a good book to read. I like mystery, scary, horror type stuff, only not too hardcore. Like Dean Koontz or something similar. Any suggestions???

I've already read the Dan Brown books and most of Koontz's books. Know any new ones by these authors?

Maybe you'd like to go back to the source and read the authors that inspired the ones you love...like HP Lovecraft and Edgar A. Poe.

Also, Stephen King's book Dreamcatcher is pretty slick. The movie sucked, so if you haven't been poisoned by seeing it you'll probably enjoy the book.

My favorite Koontz book is Watchers, but you've probably read that one already. Twilight Eyes is awesome.

Dan Brown has no new things out. But Dean Koontz has a new book out, The Husband, I've seen in bookstores. It's not horror but it's a good thriller, I believe. Read other Dan brown books, he doesn't have that many yet.

Try some of Laurell K. Hamilton's vampire series. Guilty Pleasures, The Laughing Corpse, Circus of the Damned and The Lunatic Cafe are the first four.
They are set in modern day Saint Louis and the heroine investigates crimes involving werewolves, vampires, zombies, etc. Really amazing to read.

I'm not sure about mystery or horror, but if you want to move over to fantasy King Fortis the Brave, Harry Potter, Eragon and Chronicles of Narnia are all great!

DaVinci Code and Demon's & Angels. They are the two Dan Brown books. Really good thrillers

In the horror genre, I'm a big fan of Stephen King. If you haven't read them, I would recommend IT, Dreamcatcher, or Cell. Eyes of the Dragon is also really cool, but it has a fantasy twist to it
