I have very small hands and it gives men the impression that they are larger in that departrment than they really are. I have written the first draft of my a semi autobiographical novel and its far too big. Should I edit out this sort of detail to reduce the size?

Does size really matter?

They say the devil is in the details so maybe you don't need so much detail. If it doesn't drive the story or it isn't integral to the meat of the story then you can get rid of it without worrying. Edit, edit, edit. And then edit some more.

Any detail that is like that, edit out. But then again, far too big? Autobiographies can be 1000 pages long. How long is the book?

this question is some kind of chinese puzzle isn't it? you can tell it fits together but you'll never figure out what order the bits go in.

Leave it in. People like hand-on-dick moments in novels. Your editor will help you decide how many of those to have.

harriet, harriet, etc.yes, edit widely and broadly; but, i beseech you, do not edit out our confluence of soulful dalliance. and, sorry to hear about your lack of "eastern interest". reconsider? also, semi apropos, you know what they say about women with small hands.....

I agree with the drunken. It seems like you have a "thing" against men. Are you pulling them around by their "thing?"
