I'm writing a very complex book, a bit like Tolkien's LOTR. But I'm stuck at the beginning. Should I focus on drafting a complete plot, should I just start writing away poorly (and edit later on) or should I write well from the start? I could do with tips, I'm a poet but therefore maybe obsessed with effective and beautiful writing.

Tonight i lay upon a lighted sky that sways and sways.Under the stars i fall asleep ,so craddleing no more weeps.I wake in the morning at 5am,my broken heart has started to mend,i walk along the long brick path here love and eternity always lasts. The mist in the air gives me wings as i fly off to see what morning brings.

I watched a progamme on telly last week which tried to suggest 50 films which a person must see before they die. I had seen almost all the films but their inevitable no.1 if- you- only- watch- one- film- ever choice reminded me that I hadn't read Heart Of Darkness yet so I wondered what the literary equivelent would be. Feel free to suggest as many or as few as you like.

denomonation or without denomonation, every individual group have no understanding in the word and do what the world does. wear make up, pierce their bodies, women wearing pants when the word says that women should not wear clothing that is similar to mans. then, they call them selves christian. the denomonated christians are blinded and they only care about there creeds and TBN networks. what sin, what a shame. thats going round the world but its kiling the souls in their denomonation. their denomonation is like the pharisees. they dont teach no word, they teach make believe, unbelief. there are some christians who say that there is a trinity but the word says nothing like that and they believe there is a three spririts in one god. why? there is no such thing because if there was it would say, but in revelation 16 shows you bout three unclean spirits like frogs going out into the world out of thje dragon, beast, and false prohpet working miracles. a true christian knows more.

I understand that most publishers don't even read unsolicited manuscripts. Did you get an agent and what does that mean in terms of cost?

I haven't even written one yet, but am about to start I am not even sure if you type it double spaced or anything... any experiences welcome..

It’s a series of 3 books that remind me of the lord of the rings trilogy.
It stars a set characters who are very short (kind of like a hobbits) only they are described to have jewel like eyes. Anyways the thing that makes these not-hobbits so special is there incredible night vision.
The reason that is important is because the bad guy of the story (who’s name I cant remember) is using some kind of crystal that casts a cloud of moonlight that is slowly enveloping the world. The only reason that matters is because of a little back story were all of the bad monster were banished to the dark. That is to say that the sun light will kill them.
Anyway it has the typical story, were the bad guy steals the soon to be kings girlfriend and will sacrifice her to release the dark god on the world. But of coarse the staring non-hobbit manages to save the day but at the cost of his own vision.
If anyone has any idea what I am talking about can they please tell me what this series is called

read
http://www.schr.org/aboutthecenter/pressreleases/HB1059_litigation/NewsArticles/news_hb1059_creativeloafing.htm

A 26-year-old college student on federal disability, Whitaker doesn't fit most people's image of a sex offender. But, because of an ill-considered 10th-grade xxx -- resulting in her conviction for an act that's no longer crime in Georgia -- she has spent nearly a decade on Georgia's sex-offender registry.

now that you know you can be on the list just for pissing behind a tree. tell me there is a comparement between the two
