Did they have, like, months?
For a report, I'm supposed to type up a newspaper report like I lived back then, and the teacher said I can make up a date.
I want to make it specific, so did the ADs and DCs have months, or days of the week? Thanks :) best answer gets 10 points

It's written by Emily Dickinson, who is my friend's favorite poet. we were reading it the other day and have completely different opinions of what it means/. now i'm curious to see what other people think it means.

I had no time to hate, because
The grave would hinder me,
And life was not so ample I
Could finish enmity.

Nor had I time to love; but since
Some industry must be,
The little toil of love, I thought,
Was large enough for me.

Heyy guys, i'm a first year student at university studying french, german and spanish. For my german dissertation I have to write an essay on the Holocaust, and Germany's guilt.

I would really value everyones opinions (esp on the subject of germanys guilt) to help me build a good dissertation.

Do you think holocaust guilt still exsists today?!

Why? Why not?!

All opinions are welcome!

:)

The two bodies entwine
each with it's own shine.
mixing and meshing to create
that intricate design of their mate.

writhing to a unique beat,
gyrating bodies attempt to meet,
making eachother grow
with their rythmic flow

then with an impatient blast
they become a single mass
which will last only a moment
before it falls dorment.

to everywhere it flies
before it recedes and dies
and in its thoes of death
blows life's beautiful breath.

Just lofting, expressive. No relation to anything depressive.

"I often feel weary engaged in THE WAR,
though it's so much a battle within.

My spirit is so often Over The Top
while the flesh may be fragile and thin.

"What cause?" I wonder often,
"To go on with life this way?"

The answer is Universal,
"To give thanks for ONE more day."

I'm always looking for at least one more chance to "Get IT right"

Tomorrow is "TUnESDAY, by the way.

When I listen to this song... Bliss, by Muse (Link in Edit), I imagine the person he sings about, who is oh so happy and perfect...

But this perfect happiness, is it possible?

I always had it in my head that no one is truly happy- Underneath those smiling masks is a great deal of pain and sorrow being supressed...

But, there are generally people who are really happy. These people... must be very ignorant then? Ignorant of the world around them... of all the wrong in the world, all the pain and suffering of those around...

I guess I am just envious. I am 18, I stopped feeling that true happy feeling many years ago. When the veil of childhood was lifted from my eyes, I started seeing things for what they were, a world that isn't so perfect.

This is just a rant. But the main thing I am saying is...

To be really happy, takes a great amount of ignorance, even if you arn't aware of it...

Do you agree?
