Alright, this is weird. On my guitar, the 7th fret, there is like a...chip on the fret. And, when I bend the G String It makes this scratch noise...Is there anyway to fix this?

It's hard to explain.:| I don't know how else to explain it.

I hope it's less than 40. I don't have A LOT of money to be spending replacing the frets on my guitar.

I'm guessing my best bet would be to call my local music store?

I know it's not the fret. There is no buzzing in the fret, at all. Even when I play it on the chip. It's just the fact that it's there and it makes a scratchy feel when I bend the string. :|

THe only way I know how to fix it, is to take it to a Luthier and have him/her replace the fret. That's what they are experts at -- fixing all kinds of guitar problems like that.

My Luthier would charge you less than $40 for replaceing a fret.

I'm going to agree with SCREAM, you're better off taking it to a shop that does guitar repairs. The main reason is they have the proper tools to change out frets that are damaged. If it's an expensive guitar you could damage the fretboard, and have the fret get bent or chip the new one too. As SCREAM said they can give you a price, maybe you can even get a price over the phone.

Yes, you can have a new fret put in, someone at the Guitar Center could do this in minutes....call first to make sure that the guitar Luthier is on hand, it shouldn't cost much, under $25.00 - $35.00, I'm sure !!!!!!!!

go the local guitar store and ask them how to fix that thing. or try replacing the G string. maybe it has too much rust on it...
hope this helps...
