hi

i dont really know how to explain the style of photographs I'm trying to take..but I'll have a go...hopefully you can kind of picture what I'm describing!

When you look through your parent's photo albums, the VERY FIRST earliest COLOR photographs that they have. They're slightly faded, slightly "bleached" by the sun. They are very warm-toned...alot of pinks and yellows. Sometimes the photographs' corners are curved.

THESE are the style of photographs I'm trying to create.

Does anyone know how I would achieve this effect? Or any ideas or suggestions?

Thankyou thankyou thankyou! I'm very willing to learn :)

said on finding the war camps, film them, get local villiages to clean them up, get witnesses.
ALL THAT IS NECESSARY FOR THE TRIUMPH OF EVIL IS FOR GOOD MEN TO DO NOTHING.
The holocaust curriculm shows not just the 6 million Jews,
but also the 20million Russions,
and the 10 million Christians.
This week the UK removed the holocaust from its schools because it "offended" the MUSLIM population which claim it never happened.

i would be interested to know what you think.

SISTER of the earliest light,
Type of loveliness in sorrow,
Silver mists thy radiance borrow,
Even as they cross thy sight.
When thou comest to the sky,
In their dusky hollows waken,
Spirits that are sad, forsaken,
Birds that shun the day, and I.

Looking downward far and wide,
Hidden things thou dost discover.
Luna! help a hapless lover,
Lift him kindly to thy side!
Aided by thy friendly beams,
Let him through the lattice peeping,
Look into the room where, sleeping,
Lies the maiden of his dreams.

Ah, I see her! Now I gaze,
Bending in a trance Elysian,
And I strain my inmost vision,
And I gather all thy rays.
Bright and brighter yet I see
Charms no envious robes encumber;
And she draws me to her slumber
As Endymion once drew thee.

Problem: An evening wedding reception. The beautiful white cake (with elegant white icing seashells) sits about 6-8' from the white wall. All you have is the digital camera with built-in flash. However, here is your problem: Without flash nothing shows, it is way too dark! With flash (and you have tried several settings) the whole cake looks washed out. You can see no details. Below are the settings you have on your camera. What would you do to get a good picture of this beautiful cake.
ISO: Auto, 100, 200, 400
White Balance: Auto, Daylight, Cloudy, Tungsten
Exposure: + Auto -
Quality: High, Normal, Low

From what I learn online, they use the 3rd finger to bar across string 2,3,4. But how do we do that without muting the 1st string?

The History Channel no longer has history on it. There is almost never a legitimate show on it now. They used to show quality series on the Fall of Rome, Ancient Egypt, and they would profile ancient inventors, statesmen, kings, etc.

I think they have tried to popularize the content, and so it has lost its historical value. Now it is nothing but Ice Truckers, UFO's, MonsterQuest, Modern Marvels, and the "What if the end of the world comes tomorrow?" disaster shows. You may as well turn on CNN or the E! Channel. I think the point is that TV is so saturated with meaningless garbage, we should be exposed to something with more depth and meaning once in a while. With the "history" of food and makeup, you're better off just going shopping and buying a stack of magazines.

The programming director is insulting to our intelligence. Does anyone else agree with me? The history of ice cream production is not as historically significant as the discovery of written language!

You are cruising down the Highway. It's Freezing and it's raining, come sleetin and all you want to do is edge your way smoothly with the traffic and get to your warm home.
Prepare a quick dinner and continue reading Descartes, whilst sipping away at some Napolean Brandy.
Suddenly all the traffic slows to a crawl.
Creeping along, everything you come to seems normal. Then you hear faint Alternating Horns.
So you know emergency vehicles are approaching
somewhere nearby and as you crawl another 5-10minutes.
You see the Red and Blue lights flashing on the other side of the carriageway.
If it's a Deadun, its a Deadun.
If it's an Ambo job, it's an Ambo Job.
To Stop it getting Hot is an Firies Job.
What business has it got to do, with people who have to slow and gawk at it.
Can someone tell me why.

If I want to get from point A to point B, I have to first get to the halfway point between the two points. Then I have to get to the halfway point between that halfway point and point B. Then I have to get to the halfway point between that halfway point and point B...and since there will always be a point halfway between where I am and point B, how can I ever get there?

(Obviously I can, but how am I able to step over an infinity of points?)
