Well, it would make as much sense to imprison all the males on charges of rape. I know there are some otherwise sane "feminists" who advocate such a measure, but (for the moment, at least) we tend to punish specific individuals who commit specific crimes.
The tendency to punish whole groups of people for crimes not yet committed or which existed only in the twisted minds of the prosecutors was extremely popular in socialist countries- Mao's China, Hitler's Germany and Stalin's Soviet Union. It leads to situations like the killing fields of Cambodia (another example of socialist heaven) or North Korea
Ex- nazis and ex-communists (even though there is no difference) should be definetly put to justice and- if crimes are proven- they should be punished. The descendants have not committed any crimes- that I know of.

How is that fair? I mean look, if you had to take a test.. You probably didn't even know you had Hitler's blood in you.
The fact is, not everyone who had a grandparent or whatever that is a Nazi, doesn't make them a Nazi. You'd then have to prove that personality is transferred through DNA, which is virtually impossible. Think about it, you can't do that to people. That's infringing upon their rights. You can't just poke people with a needle, prove that they somehow are a descent of a Nazi and then in-prison them. Tell me, are their work camps right now with Jews in them? NO. So what's the threat? Oh that's right, there is none. Think about it.

First, define "Hitler" DNA. It wasn't just the Austrians and Germans. Don't believe the bedtime stories taught in most history classes, a good portion of Europe went along with Hitler because they agreed with him. Secondly, there likely would be unwanted side effects of removing certain genomes from our species. Finally, after the "Hitler" DNA was removed from society, who would be next? Removing everyone who is Muslim because some of them think Jews should be eradicated? While DNA is very important in determining who we are, it's not the end-all, be-all. You really need to study some philosophy. It's easy to sit and condemn, and think yourself morally and ethically superior to those who committed such atrocities and incapable of doing the same thing even if you had lived in that time and setting. In reality, as soon as you do so, you're on the road to committing atrocities yourself.

Wow, this has to be a joke, are you seriously saying people should be imprisoned for being guilty of being descended from ex Nazis?
DNA tests... bloodlines, sounds a lot like what the Nazis were up to themselves to prove 'pure' blood, if you think this same way, you're no better than them.

What a ridiculous question. Why should people be punished because their ancestors were Nazi's?
