Well, Christians will tell you that it's because God doesn't give us anything that we can't handle, it's all in God's plan, and that there's no testimony without a test, blah blah blah. But the real answer is because...

wait for it

There's no God.

Because bad things happen to all people. Religios folks haven't accepted Objective Reality, God springs forth from the primitive limbic system of your brain, the last remnants of your reptillion past. The area where our raw emotions reside, including the irrational belief systems.

The 'religious' experience is triggered by deep depression, starvation, near death, or other highly charged situations. The 'born-again' christian phenomena has a scientific basis....yes, your limbic system. Why has man evolved this mechanism you might ask? Simple...it was a survival mechanism of our cave man ancestors to cope with a hostile and unknown universe.

The cerebral cortex is a more recent development. Here is where our rational and logical thought processes take place. It is here that the atheists have found their basis in reality.

In reality, there is no sentient, omnipresent, omnipotent supernatural being, supernatural entity or force....therefore all the inequities and misery of the world will always persist, some will have good things happen to them and some not, some will blame the invisible entity but objective reality wins all the time....no matter how hard some try to get that limbic brain of theirs to work...sorry

And why does bad things happen to good people all the time? When the tectonic plates crash into each other causing human calamity, they don't worry about Karma, good and bad, evil and riteousness. Life's paths are made up of randon circumstances, some predictable and some not. Most religious people will state that god has a 'bigger' plan for them and humans in general, that we can't know the 'big picture.' Most say there can't be good unless we know or experience the depths of evil.

Is it fair to have predation, disease, deformities, child rape, parasites and evil in the world? If the answer is yes, then with god(s) like that, who need them?

If i didnt get to the point where i did not know what to do then i would have never turned to God.

God wins souls when a person is suffering to a point he has nowhere to turn He or she says a prayer and it can turn that llife around

God Tears us down to make us stronger... may sound wierd... but if life was simple as whistlin dixie... and handed to us on a silver platter... then we would have no challenges to transform us into what God has planned for us to be.... God sees so much more potential in us than we think.... He knows OUR FULLLLL potential and he wants us all to reach it....... So trials and trib.s and hardship and affliction actually have a positive effect on us in the end...

at least for me i know... i look back and am glad that i had to face somethings that were hellll, however at the time i wanted to just die, i got THREW IT

I

He will never give us more than we can handle....

"God is cruel...in a refining way".... don't remember exactly where i heard it, but i think it summons it up well, if you look at things from a believer's point of view.
I look at God the same way i look at my dad. I misbehaved or steered out of course, he'll gently pull me back. Again? A bit tougher this time. Next time? Oh boy! And then i'd go back to him after crying my eyes dry and say, "sorry dad, you were right".
Even if you look at this from a non religious point of view, a change in behavior or pattern can happen successfully only after you completely realize what it was you were doing wrong, and hit rock bottom. Only then you can start anew.

He doesn't. What makes you think that God would throw that on your back? God will not allow no more than a man can handle to be thrown on his back. The evil we suffer comes from the evil that rules for a set time period. NOT GOD.
What suffering we take He will carry. But we must go to Him for the balm of relief. He waits for one and all to come to Him. But He isn't going to force you to your knees nor on your belly for worship. You make that decision yourself and don't worry about the rest of the world God knows what is going on and He will take care of it. Trust Him, He will not break His promise and He will not let you down. In the end He will have kept all His promises no matter what evil you suffer now or in the past He will see to it that the evil is repaid and taken away.
God allows the suffering because He knows He can rid you of it ...........all you have to do is go to Him for the relief of the burden you carry. The devil would have you think other wise but I wouldn't trust the prince of lies for anything. I've fallen for it's lies many times, but every time I've fallen I've regained my feet by God's grace and help.
And I hope this helps you.

ayden.. God wants us to learn our inner strength is derived from Him and that we can learn to see beyond this world and into the next by understanding that we are all children.. not just a few here and there..but ALL are children to God.. He makes every single person knowing what they think before they are formed in the womb. He knows what we will go through ..and at the end of it .. He promises He will wipe away all tears and all sorrows and horrors will be wiped away. What will remain is what we have learned of our weaknesses and strengths.. and the same of others.

Tears serve as well as smiles to teach. We are made to wear these bodies in part to learn self control..but also to learn the value of emotions and that control over emotional reaction is very important because we are spirit made in the Image of God, Who has said He is Spirit. It may not seem so yet to you, but in a very subtle way it does all balance out.

Just remember that you are not alone on the world... that you share consciousness with all others no matter who they are... from the most innocent to the most wonderful to the most brave to the most just..to the most depraved and mentally unbalanced as well. You are not alone and this world is not our ending but is just a beginning where we must learn right from wrong and how to make our own lives count in goodness before God. In the struggle, we all are witness to horrors and evil. How we each learn to handle what we see counts. Yes, sometimes a break in the heart will occur but it can change just as quickly to a new way of thinking about how to remain a just and brave and good person though one may stand in a whirlwind of evil swirling all around him. Yet he stands in light before God, untouched by the world. Unstained by the evil.

Jesus said that true and perfect religion before God contains two things for us to do. To visit with widows and orphans during the time of their affliction..and to keep oneself undefiled by the world. Trust in God, Ayden. God is always right. And He would not have formed you thinking you could not learn this. You are more deeply loved than you know. Remember to look up and above this world because there is much much more.

Some times our parents have to let us learn things the hard way for experience is often the best teacher.
Just try remember the lessons you learn from experience.
Have a nice day.
To the guy above me the religion is not important what we learn from it is and you should go back to school. The reason I say this is because at the heart of most religions are the same lessons and those lessons are of spirituality and love not control and materialistic knowledge. You would be wise to expand your mind into realms beyond the physical.

Ah, but don't you think, that if there was a god, that was as merciful as the general "Christian" would suffer us to believe, that he would not do so?
When asking this question and stating these things among the general "Christian", they most likely answer in any form of
"He's testing your faith" or "Preparing you"
The bullsh*t reply list goes on and on.
In my opinion, religion-another form of conformity- is all but a system of control. Every written thing on this earth was created by man, and gathering past events and general actions of humanity, "man" is not always reliable.
I though, have great respect, but not without aggravation, for the person who invented the bible. Pure genius.
And I will have the same if not greater respect, for the person or persons, who would destroy it, and all evidence of "it". And relieve us of this lie that the human race has so willingly embellished itself in.

I guess it's because we tend to be too headstrong and doesn't want to admit we need help until we hit rock bottom and exhaust all our resources.

It's like when a person is drowning, and a lifesaver passes by. Yet the lifesaver will wait until the person nearly drowns before jumping in to save. Because if he jumps into the water too early, the drowning person is still too strong and may drag the lifesaver down in his struggles.

But we don't have to wait until we break down. God is our very present help in time of need. The very hairs on our heads are all numbered. Even the tiny sparrows shall not land on the ground without Him knowing. God cares about the little things and the big things in our lives, and He wants to be involved in them because He loves us. You only have to invite Him. :)

If you blame god for the way your life is then you will never take the responsibility you should and do anything about it. Its no ones fault. God didn't make you do anything and neither did anyone else.....

If you are having a break down that isn't due to god. Its due to you not being able to cope. Its you not having the adequate support and coping skills necessary to deal with life. But that isn't down to god or anyone else. If you feel that bad you need to speak to your GP. Is seems like you have clinical depression.

This is all about faith, the more faithful you are the more God will test your faith...........I always believe that God will not give us something that we will not be able to face or carry as a burden or load on our shoulders...and if He did give us..He meant good, He just wanted you to redirect your attention to Him and sometimes you are almost on theverge of quitting life and suddenly you found yourself begging and asking God for help,,,see this is to discipline us or to call us to His side so we will not go to the wrong way..........that is why when you are at the brim of all your tribulations and trials..then call on HIm....then that is the time you will feel that God has never forsaken you and He will always be there for you..just dont turn your back towards Him...God Bless!!!
