Did they have, like, months?
For a report, I'm supposed to type up a newspaper report like I lived back then, and the teacher said I can make up a date.
I want to make it specific, so did the ADs and DCs have months, or days of the week? Thanks :) best answer gets 10 points

Yes, they did have months, though they were not recorded the same as now.

The calendar system has changed over time. There was the Julian calendar during the Roman times, and that is the source of the months that we know.

The Jews had their own months based on the cycle of the moon.

The Roman Calender system was used in B.C. and A.D. times. It was also called the Julian Calender. It had 12 months
Martius (31 days)
Aprilis (30 days)
Maius (31 days)
Junius (30 days)
Quintilis (31 days)
Sextilis (30 days)
September (30 days)
October (31 days)
November (30 days) and
December (30 days)

Quintilis and Sextilis were later renamed July and August in honor of Julius Caesar and Augustus Caesar

They did not have days of the week but rather little prefixes
Kalendae (Kalends) — first day of the month, from which the word "calendar" is derived; thought to have originally been the day of the new moon. Interest on debt was due on Kalends.
Nonae (Nones) — depending on the month, could be the 5th or the 7th day; thought to have originally been the day of the half moon.
IdÅ«s (Ides) — depending on the month, could be the 13th or the 15th day; thought to have originally been the day of the full moon. The Romans considered this an auspicious day in their calendar. The word ides comes from Latin, meaning "half division" (of a month).

For example, one of the most famous dates in Roman history is the Ides of March 44 B.C. (the day Julius Caesar was killed). Since the month had 31 days, this is our day March 15th.
