I think it would be more cool to have a photo looking into a doorway of something you wouldn't find in a dorm, like a huge ballroom, or a submarine, or airplane, or anything different than what you see in the room anyway. Of course with that one you get caught for a second believing the door is open and you are looking in it.

Really all you have to do is just set up and shoot a photo and use the largest picture file size the camera will take. Then it will be a matter of breaking the image into segments and printing each one like a big puzzle to piece together. You can do this in Photoshop by applying the gridlines or guidelines to the image and copying and pasting each segment into a new file and printing it. I would use a large format dye sub though. The ink for an inkjet printer would cost a lot to do a project of that size.

That is very cool!!

Lot's of ink, injet printer, and a desktop publishing program so you can control DPI.
