so i watched this thing on tv where through a telescope we, on earth, saw a star explode like millions of light years away, therefore we literally watched the past. it made me ask does time even exist? why is it to a dying man 14 seconds can seem like our standards of an "hour" and why to a little girl being at disneyworld half a day can seem like this same "hour"? If we look at a planet two light years away...we in 2007, currently view a planet in its 2005 state ... so basically we all have different perspectives, so does time exist or does it make no sense or is it simple relative?

Click, Clack

Click, clack,
as the night nears black
No need for one when guilt is your gun
I’m not insane,
though the ones I’ve slain
still choose to haunt and I haven’t forgot
a single face
and I can’t erase
the terrible thoughts deaf with gunshots.
All are proud
when victims are found
but is it beauty in the eyes of the beholder when he lies?
Your tears are my own,
the ones not shown,
screaming inside, but to whom can I confide?
But suddenly it’s soon,
as we both knew,
when all you can hear whispering in your ear
is
Click, clack,
as the night turns black.

Alriight, I know there are tons of topics about this, but I am a 13 year old wanna be actress. I DO take acting, musical theater, and voice lessons already. There are very few community theaters. I live in Pittsburgh, PA so if someone can recommend me a theater that has open auditions for a teen my age, it would be much appreciated.

I want to go by a different name because well I HATE my real name spelling and my last name is horrid! Can it be considered an alias to be known by a different name and a dif spelling of my first name. I have no criminal record and intend on keeping it that way, but what makes it an alias?

dancing with the devil

I've made love to sweet Lilith fair,
And danced to a zombies trance.
Run my fingers through Lucifers hair,
And broken his deadly advance.

I'm still alive, yet somehow I am dead,
Awake, yet completely I'm sound asleep.
I scream for help, but feel nothing but dread,
Now begnning to whimper and weep.

The hotter the fire, the greater the lust,
I break away and think that I am free.
But slowly I am turrning to dust,
The payment on which we agreed.

The quiet is shattered by my sceam
I gasp for air and clutch at my throat.
No this is no some childish dream,
Satan stands with that terrible note.

He looks at me as if I'm a chiild,
And laughs as I try to bargain.
I've been put away locked and filed,
I'm now just part of his garden.

Are there are sources of language or slang used in the 1800s--in particular, the war of 1812, that are on the internet? I've searched around and couldn't find any.

I'm thinking of buying the Hoya R72 for my Canon XTi camera to take some infrared photographs. Online, I heard a few reports that the kit lens will produce pictures with a bright glow in the middle. Can anyone confirm that or tell me about their experiences with the Canon XTi? I do not want to modify the camera, i.e. removing any IR blockers in the camera. Thanks!

Why do many advocates of Nietzsche exert themselves so energetically in "explaining away" Nietzsche's negative views of women, democracy and various races?

They argue that his opinion of women wasn't really as low as it may seem, that anything totalitarian perceived in his work is a misinterpretation etc.

But as Nietzscheans don't they realize that pandering to the received wisdom and political prejudices of academia, attempting to render him palatable to the mob, and force his views to conform to the current zeitgeist of political correctness, all for the purpose of "justifying" him, is laughably un-Nietzschean?

So why do they do it?

The Scandinvian word "OMMERIKA" means the farthest away place. Lumber found( in Iceland or Greenland) in an old ship can be dated way before Columbus and Amerigo. Since it was 250 miles to land in North America and way farther to Europe it can be concluded that the wood came from the North American Continent. SO, THE VIKINGS were here first and the sailors LINGO at the time referred to a land they called 'OMMERIKA". What do you think?? Be Fair,,not predjudice.

I am thirteen and I know I have a long time but I really really really LOVE to dance and would love to go Juilliard!!! I've always wanted to go to college in NYC even if I can't be a dancer. :( I would really love any advice. I know I don't really have any specific question but I don't really care. Please don't answer that I'll never get in because I already know it's hard. Please don't answer if you don't really have anything to say. Thanks a bunch if you do!!!
