It has been some decades since Western culture could be accurately described as Industrial. Since the under-consumption crisis of the Thirties, we have shifted entirely into a social structure dominated not by production but by reproduction, not by equivalence but by commutation, not by merchandise but by the model. We live in a post-industrial world. A world no longer where all labor is exchanged and loses its singularity but where labor and leisure become entwined. Not a culture bought and sold but one where all cultures simulate one another. Not a place where love is prostituted but where a liberated keel sexuality is compulsory. And an era in which time is no longer accumulated like money but is broken in a confused web of nostalgia,
fetishism and futurism.
SPK has always been certain to establish its separation from any label like "industrial" because it has always pursued a strategy radically more efficient - the successor to industrial society.

This was brought up during a discussion at work, and nobody could answer it. The more I thought about it, the more it bugged me. Was this surname wiped off the face of the earth? If so why? There are plenty of horrible mass murderers throughout history. If you try to answer this question, please provide some sort of proof on how the answer to the question was formed.

I am experimenting with primitive figurative paintings that tell a completely different story when turned on their heads. For instance a figure running through the street in the day becomes a floating constellation in the night. Figures can appear to be either fighting or playing depending on how the painting is hung. Has anyone explored this field?

a little like my writers, and even photography block.
Ive a dulce and a double dulce with half begun, and almost finished landscapes.
I keep replacing my light bulbs but I just can't get back to them it seems so all in vain, even though I thank G-D for my abilities.
For so many years I could hardly draw, much less consider painting ,yet almost all of a sudden 3 years perhaps 4 ago I began and strangers, friends, all said the same how good they were,at first this gave me boost.
But now I feel it has no real purpose.

Or should I say, what do you think is the purpose of life? I am a college Senior and when I look around me I see good deeds, but I also see a lot of selfish kids who waste a TON of money on alcohol most nights out of the week and waste their parents' money. There is a homeless man who frequents our library so right now I am trying to wrap my mind around all of it. If kids put as much energy into helping people as they do stalking people on Facebook, or getting drunk more often than not, then the world might actually be a great place. Who knows.. Oh, and I'm no saint myself. I like to party, but I also like community service.

Think about it. If a "random" action were to occur, would it happen again if time were to magically reverse, or would it always lead to the same action?

Hello there. I am a trained archaeologist who works in connection with a British University, in their antiquities library. I think the world's past should be studied, of course, and more importantly preserved- not plundered and sold illegally to private bidders for their own art collections.

I do, on occassion, find myself in the situation where I can acquire antiquities for myself, straight out of the ground (I do a lot of world exploration out of my own pocket, and don't forget I'm fully trained, as well as having access to an entire library and archives...).

Of course I would give these to a museum or my University rather than selling to a private bidder- but do you think there's any harm in charging a small fee, far below what the items are actually worth in order to pad out my wallet a little, and bearing in mind that such institutions are under heavy budgeting anyway?

Nothing wrong in my book- what do you think?

I just got my class photo and look horrrible. I took a class picture and I looked like a zombie mostly because people kept touching my hair. And then we took individual photos and well my didn't go out that great. The photograper kept making me say a random word so I would smile with my teeth open (my teeth are a little bit croocked so) and I said never and he took the picture. The picture came out as I was finishing the word. And that a**ho** fixed my hair so it would look bad on porpuse! I am going to take a retake but it is in January so I need tips on how to look good and Not smile with my teeth open?!
