pleading
Dark and gray,
Pathetic morning light.
No sun to shine,
Upon my fields of ruin.
I will never escape,
From the pain inside.
A pleading cry,
No one will ever hear.
Crushed, into shadows bare,
There is no more escape.
No where else to turn,
As in hell I burn.
The water cold and dark,
Will swallow you, like me.
Away from all that's good,
Like in a distant dream.
Fading, I can't remember,
Behind my never seeing eyes.
The fire we once had...dies,
Torment held by invisible walls.
Red hot lies,
Cannot shield you now.
From the dark within,
The scars that run so deep.
I know they will never heal,
My emotions torn asunder.
I only wish for peace,
And the courage to carry on.
Even though I love another, I will always have a place for Marilyn in my heart and this is for her. Just as when I see the moon I will think of her, whenever she sees eeyore, she will think of me. Good bye my Angel of San Juan, from your undercover poet.
