Stephen Foster and George Cooper wrote these songs:
"There Are Plenty of Fish in the Sea" (1863)
"Kissing in the Dark" (1863)
"My Wife is a Most Knowing Woman" (1863)

"Mr. & Mrs. Brown" (1864)
One of Foster's best and most popular works, Beautiful Dreamer, was written in 1862 and published in 1864 after his death.

John Phillip Sousa's first published composition was Moonlight on the Potomac Waltzes, 1872.
