it all starts with the mind and moves in between heart and mind.

Words are such a limitation.

What is "will"
The mind has will, everybody knows that.
Do you "follow" that will, what is that, that "lives" and directs in the mind. Is it you? Or is it the activity of processing thought from all around.
What would will do here. Stand aside or direct the thought.
Is that a conscious or unconscious act.

The heart has intelligence, I have read where many say the heart is a pump, hard to ignore that thinking, but I talk of Heart Intelligence, that feeling that comes from within, that feeling that knows you, knows what page you are on, that knowing that feels fatter than a mere thought, that knowing that seems to stay until you acknowledge it, feel it, contemplate it. Is that will. I tend to feel that that is my will, my will, as opposed to the thought that pops into the mind from I don't know where, that thought that if you don't move on, it moves on to the next available mind, and asks to be let out.

My will, my heart intelligence, does not shift to another, it stays, and seems to regurgitate itself again and again, until it becomes my knowing, for me, relative to the I that I am.
It does not flip off, to the next being, it is not appropriate, it can not be appropriate, that other being is not at the same place, so this heart intelligent feeling cannot be for anyone but me, at that time, to share, it is like I am the programme to unfurl it into the all-that-is. Where I am at, it is my gift to bring to the "pot" that "is" to all.

Namaste.

The heart and brain are the physicality. The mind state of cative being of the brain. The will is a force, sometimes triggered by a cycle of chemical reaction' sin the brain, and then again an outside force compelling us to behave irrationaly or with hindsight illogically. Yes scientists have studied the spiritual realms of the spirit, soul but have not concluded. Without knowledge of the spirit, the will, good or evil, that drives those persons who have a lowered guard or act upon anything other than logic reason and rationale. As The creator, the universal spirit from which we are borne and to which the emanicipated and arisen return, until this unknown entity is realised any truth or knowledge that an individual gains remains partial and incomplete. Many knwo of this Absolute truth, but th eability to communicate it to the thinking world in a simple and concise way is a gift alleged to Prophets and Messiahs....mere mortals can only dabbl ein conjecture and debate...and those who have chanced upon this truth tend to withdraw from the world.

They are reciprocal to each other, the mind tells you in objective ways what you want, while the heart follows the dreams and goals to reach, one cannot work without the other. The will dwells between these two moving depending if you are a romantic or a nihilist.

I believe the will dwells in the mind, but it often needs to consult the heart on matters of great importance to its owner. You have a good day too!

No question, the mind. The heart is a pump. When it fails, there is a replacement. The mind is not only the center of will,if the "soul" dwells anywhere,it's here.

Depends on what it is. If it originates as an emotion, then it dwells in the heart, but if it's something else, then it's in the mind.

The will is you, thus it dwells in you.
The will is comparable to your soul or
as the life force, growing force, or
God which is in all beings.

Heart felt matters, are the desires of you
that resulted from your processing of
consciousness which is done in your mind.
What you feel and desire is felt in your body,
reflected as being alive, your body, heart and
feeling makes the soul or light of you,
feel-able.

Mental processing is processing what
you receive from your senses from the
outside world. Senses pick up vibrations
from the outside world, and carry these
signals from the body to the brain. Your
body receives the non-visable signals as
energy and gives them a physical and
tangible value as 'thought', which
allows you to interact with other objects.

In your mind, thinking allows you to interact
with the consciousness of yourself and the
consciousness of the vibration you received.

Who you are as soul, is embedded in a body,
which has the capabilities that you yourself
has created and continues to create:
you are a soul manifested as a living entity
in a body, that can feel with your heart
and think with your mind.

One might think of the body,
as being a reflection of the soul,
just a moment ago in time.

Very good question !

First, we must agree on a shared definition of "heart". That word has many meanings. If you are talking about a physical heart, that is just a human organ to pump blood; there is no thinking or reflecting mind in a physical heart, no soul, no emotions, etc.

If you mean by "heart" the Essence or Being of You, then we can replace the word heart with you as 1.Personality and 2. Spirit of God's will within you 3. perfecting soul you that will survive death and ascend to the next higher heaven. 4. mind
(5. the body you here is not a direct factor in this question)

To keep this simple, let's agree that "heart" here means the soul you. From about human ages 6 to 35, on average, the will of a human is the God-given volition-choice-decision inherent in all Personalities. Personality is so high and spiritual and super-spiritual that it cannot be located just in space-time ... a deep mystery (to us) of the many potential or actual space- and time- transcended "I am's" in I AM Personality Presence. (Probably as 1 and 3 and 7 and infinite dimensions.)

This mysterious human WILL as a part of Personality must consider first in one's MIND also the other WILL of God's pure Spirit within this human mind. (functionally, not literally in a physical sense of brain --more of an indwelling will and also space-time transcendent.) When you Personally will to do God's will, (silently always super-communicating within your mind) then this Spirit Adjuster Will of God within co-creates with your will a new addition to the reality of you as a perfectly duplicated living soul.(the better "you", but still mostly sub-spiritual while living here on earth)

After about age 35, on average, you as soul may also help your mind to make more Godly decisions. Some humans have achieved a soul-identity and rely more on soul than mind for a few months. Then, they will certainly realize that Spirit is the higher drive-quest; and they will personally choose to have their living souls under the superior Spirit of God above and within.(all Infinitely and Absolutely Unified in Spirit)

So, a brief answer is that WILL (Volition) has no location in space-time; but is best here and now conceived as being in the mind more than in the soul (heart of you) or in fluctuating animal-mind lower emotions.

That brings up the problem of "mind" of a human being which is actually several levels at once. The lowest is the brain-stem animal-mind --very selfish, greedy, and physical survival prone first. Then are the conscious left and right hemispheres mind [maybe as two antenas to one or more of of the aspects of Spirit and Cosmic mind(s)].Then, there is the highest (partly able to be realized here) super-conscious mind with closely relates to the soul you and the (future) Spirit You.

Of all the mysteries of God-Reality-Universe the deepest are probably: Will and Personality and Spirit and Mind and Force-energy. The low human body is much more simple ! Having merely 100 trillion living cells, each of which has recently been found to be almost infinitely complex ! Hmm-mm

If GOD were SMALL enough for our mind understandings, He/They would not be BIG enough for our real needs !

Hello,

(ANS) The "will" is an aspect or function of the ego, it therefore does NOT reside in the mind or body as such. The processes of the will take place when you let go of the conscious mind and allow energy to flow without mind chatter. Its a body-mind process NOT an either or , body or mind. Thats not a helpful way to consider how the function of the will works.
