Let's try some stuff different from the same old answers you see here over and over again.

First of all, the wonderful Alice Sebold has a new book. The Almost Moon

Secondly, try learning about some different cultures. 15 Candles and Once Upon a Quinceanerea are two books about the celebration 15 yr old hispanic girls have that is like a Sweet 16. Both very nice books.

Then Does My Head Look Big in This about an Islamic girl who is the only one in the school where she goes. She decides to wear the hijab full time. This is her story. It is very well written.

Then James Patterson's Maximum Ride books. Max is a great role model for teens.

Lastly The World, My Butt and Other Big Round Things by Carolyn Mackler. A great story and very positive role model for young girls.

That should provide you with some interesting and fresh reading choices. It is nice to learn about different people from different cultures. Teachers love it too when you choose a book for a report that is different from the same old stuff.

Oh and I almost forgot my personal favorite book when I was your age. We Have Always Lived in the Castle by Shirley Jackson - author of the Lottery. I wore out two copies when I was your age!!

They're, Their, There - Three Different Words.

Careful or you may wind up in my next novel.

Try Khaled Hosseini "A Thousand Splendid Suns".
In short words its a story of two women living in Afghanistan that are forced to marry a much older man due to the unfair laws in the country. The story starts off both of these women in their childhood & follows up throughout their marriage. Im sorry but i think im not able to serve the book its justice, its a great read, i highly recommend it, Hosseini is a great new author from Afghanistan, in his First book "The Kite Runner", i found myself near tears more than once, excellent read.

Most, and I say 'most' kids tend to get stuck in the 'teen' book area. In my opinion, if you can understand a premise of any book, teen or adult fiction, read it. If you enjoy reading try to read above the level of your peers. When you do that more and more about general life becomes clearer and helps you decide what the real you wants to be or what you want to do. If you get stuck somewhere there is always a dictionary to reference with. For pure excitement in reading I like thrillers and in my opinion no one writes better thrillers than Matthew Reilly. in his book ICE STATION it takes off from the 3rd paragraph and holds you until the very end of the book. If you like the Dan Brown sort of reading read Mr. Reilly's book TEMPLE. Decipher clues, plus action and an unlikely hero combine to make it a quite enjoyable read. Or try James Rollins' book AMAZONIA, informative while still more like reading a classical novel. Or even Jack DuBrul, lots of information plus whodoneit get out of situations that are unreal type of reading. Then you have mysteries and fantasies and whole new worlds to explore. So read what you like and like what you read, but most of all enjoy!!
I have been reading for over 55 years and I still enjoy it.

The Sweep Series by Cate Tiernan
The Dan Brown Series (these are if youre above your peers reading levels)
The Twilight Series
Nora Roberts
Lovely Bones
The list goes on lol... just go into Barnes and Noble to the teen section and read. Read the first chapter of any book that catches your eye... eventually you'll come across one that matches your taste.

Anne of Green Gables, by L.M.Montgomery. An orphan, who is about your age is accidently adopted by an elderly brother and sister who want a boy to help on their farm. These are really great books and also have amazing descriptions of Canada. They make you laugh and cry both!
