I was the one
Who always sat alone

I was the one
Who didn't have a home

I was the one
That was never around

I was the one
Who lay bleeding on the ground

I was the one
That cried in the stall

I was the one
Who wrote on the wall

I was the one
That needed a friend

I was the one
Whos life I would end

I was the one
Who inside was dead

I was the one
Whose heart always bled

I was the one
That needed you

I was the one
The only one, that ever knew

I was the one
But no longer am
For I have taken my life
With my own hands.

There are 2 poems here, give thoughts;

One, Two, Three, the turkey’s after me
Four, Five, Six, I really want drumsticks
Seven, Eight, Nine, I eat them every time
Nine, eight, seven, chocolate pie is heaven
Six, five, four, I really want some more
Three, two, one, man Christmas sure is fun

Christmas time is here again
And with it comes my biggest sin
Chocolate pies and chocolate cake
And other chocolate things to bake
And chocolate moose, brownies pudding
Line them up and hear me sing
Forgiveness for my deep indulgence
Chocolate things are making no-sense
Because of all the pounds they add
But without, holidays are sad
If we’re thankful it’s not so bad
So don’t be shy and come on in
And after we’ll wish to be thin again

Cranked this one out a moment ago...

To Make the Snow Angel

To make the snow angel
First come to joyfully inhabit
A world that is fresh and new as new snow.
Love the smooth swish of your synthetic snowsuit.
You artist! Allow the tracks to the site. Just bubbles to a thought balloon,
The drawn dashes of paper's airborne motion.
Forget the possibility of judging watchers. Lay
yourself into crystallized cloud
- proud head too -
and make the motions of flying.

You remember.

THE JOURNEY.

Clusters of clouds came by,
Leaving us each with a mark,
Shaking our world,
Weakening our senses.

Devils in disguise,
That’s what they are,
Poisoning my mind,
Torturing your heart.

Angel is what you are,
Hidden from my gaze,
As loyal as the moon,
As salient as the sun.

The rain is so merciless,
We swam to the shore,
Away from darkness,
Away from madness.

Shipwrecks left us ashore,
There we learnt many,
Of how to survive,
Of how to revive.

The journey is enriching.
Awakens my sleeping self,
Awakens me in agony,
Of an eventful journey…

I feel fire burning up my soul
hot and uncontrollable
I try to ease it but the fire I feel is too great
feeling lost and hurt above all
I feel like a second hell is in me
trying to eat at my emotions
I sit alone in a silent rage
telling myself to do what I always wanted to do take my life
I got a knife and cut my wrists
watching my blood dripping to the floor
my last thoughts were of you and your betrayal
I hope you know this is your punishment
so feel me die
you spawn of devil
this is your punishment
and know that i'll never forgive you
and the the darknes consumed me...

It needs to be 1-2 minutes long and I would prefer if it was from a play written around that time.

I'm talking about stone (or wood) prehistoric circles like stonehenge. The ones I have seen are circular or ellipses.

My 4 year old son asked the other day when he saw a picture of one in a book. "Are there any square circles?" I don't know if there are. Are there any square, triangular or other shaped ones? And if there aren't, why not?

I think it's a very good question and raises a lot of important issues.

Like, I'm just writing a simple fantasy story but my first sentences I keep coming up with are awfully lame/over used, like "once upon a time" or just "one day".

I've read so many books where the first sentences are really good. I think first sentences are important since when you were little, you were told to read the first sentence or paragraph of a book to see if you like it.

So, help?

Hi, it's me (ha ha) again. Yes, I did write this myself... don't steal it. And please don't attack me- I'm fine with construsctive, negative criticism, not insults.

C’est la Vie

The land, sharp white-brown
fades to green
and tentative twigs test the air
murmuring; is it ready for leaves?
Are we ready for spring?

A sprout, newly born
ducks its head under a cap seed
first heartbeats humming
gleaming with dew
searching for the sun amongst the weeds.

Earth spins, sprouts grow
spinning themselves a sweater, bark, waiting
waiting ‘til they can fight free of the undergrowth
when their first swirling gust of weather
shivers down their spine
enticing those forever tethered.

Straight-proud, taller always
branches climbing rungs, a tree
still stretching, singing skywards
so close
to the sun
yet a stars-length out of reach.

And finally, and finally
an apple ‘pon the tree
spun in stoplight shades
filled with hopes and dreams…

Come autumn apples leap
floating gently with the leaves
trees waving worried good-byes-
their darlings flown away.
And plop!
one drops
bobbing in the river
all and any life before it
unknown
exciting
free
and ah
c’est la vie

an apple tree.
