This is the question.

In a region where 40% of the labor force is engaged in farming, nearly all farmers in Latin America and the Caribbean own their own farm land.

Here are another two.

1. Few of the countries of Latin america and the Caribbean depend upon foreign sources for obtaining manufactured goods.
2. In the Altiplano area of South America, poor soils, uncertain water supplies, high winds, and bitter cold make farming difficult.

These two are also very important.

I'm just guessing here, but I would say the opposite is true.... I bet hardly any of the farmers own their own land. I think rich folks own the land and reap the profits while poor folks do the hard work.
