so we all know in 1997, deep blue (a computer) beat kasparov, worlds greatest chess player. if we can qualify kasparov as an intelligent being, can we do the same for deep blue? what do you think about the notion that "we cannot impute intelligence to a machine unless it is conscious of its own achievements"? is there a difference between thinking and simply doing millions of calculations per second?

..which are 2 sides of the totality (of everything)- all numbers.

I'd like to add, this may be long for some people :

The chinese yin and yang, represent unity in duality and duality in unity.
The yin is unity. All is one. No seperation.
The yang is duality. Good and bad. All things coming with their opposite.

So yin and yang means there is unity inside good vs.evil, which is conflict.
And good vs. evil, conflict, inside unity.

Do you understand the difference? (between eastern philosophy and western religion)
Any comments?

Ronald Regan was actually one of the worst presidents that we have ever had. (we have had worst ones)

some known Factors are:

1. He didn't know what was going half the time when there were important issues at stake.
2. He feel a sleep at all most every single meeting.
3. He didn't pay attendation when the white house commindity was talking about war, healthcare, and other many important issues. Instead of paying attendation he was drawing on paper napkins.
4. He was guided by astrologitors. Nancy hired astrologitors to give advice to her husband.
5. Did not pay attendation to what the poor people were going through and spent money fruitlessly.

These are Know facts. I did not make them up.

I am sorry for any misspelling.

Please I am just interested in other's opinions here.

I'm designing a calendar for 2009 and already have eight of the months completed, and planning to approach a publisher after I'm done--in about a month. Working title is 'Sensual & Hot Thought-Provoking Women.' Basically, it's an erotic photo calender, with this twist: all the 'models' are successful in intellectual fields. I have one nationally known biologist, a professor of comparative literature, a medical doctor, a theatre director, etc. Models have chosen to what extent they will allow identity to be revealed, i.e., some have faces in shadow, identified only with profession & short bio. (no proper nouns used). Question: do you think this is a good concept and is it marketable (assuming the photos/models are appealing and the art direction is professional since both are true). Serious responses from men & women would be very helpful.
