Name somebbody in todays life

2007-12-06 23:59:49 · 11 answers · asked by Renato S 1 in Philosophy

He said goodbye
To the pourin' rain
Traded troubles
For a southbound train
Lookin' foreward
To a place unknown
Soon he'll call
A freightyard home

chorus
Whereabouts unknown, have you seen Ole' Bill Malone
He's gone 900 miles down the road
Whereabouts unknown, have you seen Ole' Bill Malone
Now he's gone and not forgotten . . . but alone

Saw his face
Sunday mornin'
Felt the pain
Fire burnin'
Had no money
Had no wife
Had a failin' farm
And fadin' life

chorus

"Truth will set you free , but first it will make you miserable" - Jim Davis
"Truth stood on one side and ease on the other , it has often been so " - Theodore Parker
okay , so lemme get it straight , i loose my blanket's warmth and come out of my shell completely , in fact , shatter the shell into pieces . i face all my realities , i let em hit my face hard .
i bleed copiously during my life's journey ahead .
my question is this ............. if someone follows the above path of pain ............WHAT WILL BE THE END PRODUCT/REWARD/FRUIT ??????

It's so hot, like workin' in an oven
It's too hot, don't you know I'm burnin'
It's so hot, this workin's got me bummin'
And I've got to slow down

Ain't no doubt, I'm fryin' in a furnace
Ain't no way, I can keep goin' on
Now I'm cooked, time to turn me over
Gotta' let her cool me down

Chorus:
Cold clear water
Down from a mountain stream
Cold clear water
Soak me in my dreams
Cold clear water
Splash me with your smile
In your cold clear water
I can swim for miles and miles and miles

I see your candle burnin' in the window
How can such a small flame light up the night
What you cookin' up in the oven
Glad to see you got the furnace on high

Chorus

Einstein's Brain

Albert Einstein's mind
Now a monument enshrined
In a jar upon the shelf, the brain
He left us formulatin'
A bomb of grand equations
And plenty of aspirin
For the pain

After Albert died
Some fresh formaldehyde
Hoped to help some fleshy parts remain
Like Grandma' in the kitchen
Science had a mission
We've just got to save
Einstein's Brain

Chorus
Einstein's Brain, Einstein's Brain
Relatively speaking, we're all insane
What did we think we'd gain
By saving Einstein's brain

We counted all the wrinkles
And measured all the crinkles
Where did he get E=MC2
We all gotta' admire alotta'
Al's Medulla Oblongata
Our hearts are in the jar
With Einstein's Brain

He shined light in the corners
Of our universal borders
On things that we mortals can't retain
Then we poked and prodded
This organ so applauded
How richer life is now
Holding Einstein's Brain

Chorus:

So, the last day before Thanksgiving Break was Tuesday, November 20. On Friday, November 16, I left for a wedding (just me and my mom)--and did not return until the night of Monday, November 19. Today is December 7, and things are ah just so bad. I remember being concentrated and focus towards school right before leaving for the wedding but, somehow that changed afterwards. It was a family wedding, and I didn't know anyone there. I haven't met these people before, even though they were family. My cousins were my mom's cousin's nieces and nephews. I talked to them, but there wasn't much to say...just questions like how many siblings you have, you know. Fast-forward to the wedding when people were dancing:

I remember wondering how they are having fun, enjoying themselves. I dunno anymore. I mean its like when you look out at the world and finally realize what you see, it's hard because--how can my soul rest, how can I enjoy, how can I anything, you know?
I’m 17 and in high school, and this sucks. I know this might be surprising coming from a 17 year old, but do take in mind that I am an old soul + an experience this summer made me matured a lot. This combined with the nature of my personality, which is calm and reserved, makes it difficult to know what to say anymore even with my own mother. She’s is somewhat worried, which is not something that I want, because I’ve seemed non-responsive towards her lately. But I don’t know what to do. I need someone to help me, but I don’t know who.

I’m seeing the sudden lack of motivation that has been continuing for the last week or two. It’s not that I am lazy, but nothing is driving me anymore. I try to make myself do my homework, but I’m not fully there or concentrated…merely doing my homework, if I can get myself to half focus on it, as if I am a robot or something. It feels like detachment from myself or something, I dunno. My focus has seemed to just disappear. There is a parable about a donkey that fell in a well, and farmers were shoving dirt at him…because he was old and useless, so why get him out. The donkey he kept climbing and climbing as dirt is being shoved at him, and before long he was up and over the well—and then he ran off.

I’m not exactly sure why I thought of this parable. I know that you might not understand everything I’ve said so far, but I sure could use some guidance.

Okay, so I looked around and I found a lens I thought would be best for concert photography. It is the EF-S 17-85mm f/4-5.6 IS USM. I photograph mostly local bands, so distance is not a problem.. most of the time I can get relatively close to the stage. Do you think this is a wise decision? If you have a better lens in mind that would work well for what I would like to do, then PLEASE let me know!! Thank you!!!!

Ok, i've just bought a Vivtar ultra wide and slim camera after reading about how it produces lomo/holga type images on 35mm film. Now i keep reading everywhere that i need to ask for the film to be cross processed in order to get the desired effect I am looking for. I've read about E6, C41, slide negative etc processing which means nothing to me. I've been into some of the local labs and asked if they can xpro the film. Most have said they cant but some have said they can do it, depending on what kind of film it is - they can do it from slide to negative but not the other way around.

Now they might as well be speaking chinese to me. I've been using digital for my photos and dont know anything about using film. I havnt got a clue what kind of film i am using - it is just the cheapest iso400 35mm film that Tesco sold me.

Can anyone explain to me what kind of film I will probably be using and also tell me what i should be asking for when i go to get the film processed?

This is a poem I wrote waaaay back in 2001, when I was 12. It's obviously not great then lol. But I always liked it because it had meaning. I wrote this in the hospital, about 5 minutes after my mom passed away. I realize my pain at the end. Thoughts?

It's still warm for October
I wonder if I need a jacket
I'll be thirteen soon
I wonder what daddy will get me
Her doctors are Arab
I wonder how they feel about 9-11
I'm glad Ms. Banks let me out of school
I wonder what Jesse is doing
Those cafeteria guys like me
I wonder if they know that I'm 12
Teresa is such a nice woman
I wonder if she's Italian
She gave me one of her dirty romance novels
Wonder if I should read it
My aunt got some Valium
I wonder if I should steal it
The streets look so inviting
I wonder if they would want me
I saw my dad outside
I wonder if he'll ever stop smoking
I look at my face
I wonder if I'll ever survive
My mother's dead
I wonder why I'm alive

I am writing a version of "Around the World in Eighty Days" for my local theatre group and feeling that I do not have the rescources to copy a full blown riot in San Francisco have changed that section to a debate between the two candidates (one Republican and one Democrat). If you were either candidate (please state which when answering) how would you answer the following question:

"Thank you sir. My question relates to something that I have a deep concern for. Whilst I may look like a cowpoke, I served in the Great War that rent this country asunder that only finished a mere seven years ago. I of course refer to the Civil War and I am proud to state that I served for the Union side (applause from the audience) and that I even served under the leadership of that illustrious man General Ulysses S. Grant who is now our President (even louder applause). One of the things that arose from that war was the Alabama Claim. I would like to know where the candidates stand on that issue?"
