He said goodbye
To the pourin' rain
Traded troubles
For a southbound train
Lookin' foreward
To a place unknown
Soon he'll call
A freightyard home

chorus
Whereabouts unknown, have you seen Ole' Bill Malone
He's gone 900 miles down the road
Whereabouts unknown, have you seen Ole' Bill Malone
Now he's gone and not forgotten . . . but alone

Saw his face
Sunday mornin'
Felt the pain
Fire burnin'
Had no money
Had no wife
Had a failin' farm
And fadin' life

chorus

This one has a really simple melody. My old boss has a studio in his basement. We plan to record again this year.

I like it, TD... will you write the music for it ?
EDIT: did you use the *rhinocarpal* technique, so much valued in France, to write this one ?

EDIT2: ANNABELLA, mon petit rave, how are you today ?
EDIT3: Annabella, yes, but the results are rather disappointing, I must say. It really did not improve my writing. Perhaps I am holding the wrong wrist to my nose ?

I think it's an excellent description of a case of the blues.

Moi aussi.

Hello, my friends...

"I woke up this morning...", did not have the blues but hope to hear this one.

EDIT: my little Turkish delight, I am fine. And you? Are you keeping your nose to your wrist?
EDIT2: wrong nose???
