I'll write about Britain which led the way in the Industrial Revolution.
Enclosure of common lands meant that many farm workers fled to the cities looking for work. Prior to the I. R. - - most people had worked the land as small farmers.
At that time (latter 1700s - early1800s) innovative power driven machines for spinning and weaving made the cloth industry mechanized and required workers. Then steam engines added to the previous power of water wheels and further stimulated growth in coal and steel production.

To start a factory required the capital - - money - - to invest in the new machines for factory production. This is where the entrepreneurs or "capitalists" came in. Britain was led by businessmen (as well as the landed gentry) who understood investments for profit. Banking innovations allowed credit for industrial ventures. All of these factors worked together in the modernization process that enabled Britain to forge ahead in the I. R.

What? Why don't you check out in the Wiki?

Abundance of workers.
There's lots of countries conquering Asia. Like Sri Lanka, India, Africa, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Borneo, Singapore, mainly the S.E.A by the Dutch and British.
Cheap labour, resources, rising technology, steam boarts, the Suez thingy, planes, yada yada all contributes to it. Rubber and tin mining was very important for motor vehicles and tin cans.

Innovation.
Eg. Tin was usually mined by man power. Then electricity came and the big machine-mining-tin came to increase the the output or whatever. The telegraph, telephone, yada yada helps spread the ideas and word out.

Entrepreneurs? I don't know about that.
